Antique surface rim lock vintage door hardware lockset catch porcelain knob key
I have a nice old reusable cast iron rim lock for your consideration. Could use a cleaning and lube with the removal of a single standard slot set screw. Driverod gear spring feels good for reuse and works latch. Locking lever for drive gear latch engages and disengages.There is no key for dwadbolt slide although I think internal parts are intact. Box measuring 4 1/8 x 3 1/8 inches. Included are a pair of early porcelain doorknobs with cast brass necks. Brass keyhole cover, cast iron catch and 1/4 inch driverod with brass set screws. This auction is for a vintage Amethyst and clear glass door knob assembly. This fabulous pair of door knobs comes with the assembly to attach it to your door. One knob has a beautiful light amethyst color with a brass fitting. The other end has a clear knob with a chrome fitting. When looking at the knobs from the top you can see a pretty star burst design. The knobs match designs. I was told the reason one is purple and the other clear is because the sun turned the knob purple due to what mineral is in the glass. The other being out of sight stayed clear. And some pitting. Very thick brass or copper, would seem to be commercial. It appears to be copper, but might be copper plated brass. I am unsure, and will not cut through it to find out. Some scratches on button and some pitting. Does not include key. This is a complete door knob with mortise. This door knob is 100% functional. And in great shape. A perfect addition to any collection. You will not find many of these if any. Copper knobs with copper button mechanism. Knob was taken apart to show details then put back together. This is taken from one of their ads: This knob is entirely concealed. And are self adjusting to all thicknesses of ... moredoors holding them. Equally rigid making them desirable for thin doors. Each knob is independent of the other. A valuable feature in connection with night locks. The outside knob can be locked leaving the inside one free. From the top of the brass base to the top of the glass knob is 2 1/2" Tall x 2 1/4" wide or across. There are no chips. Or Knicks, but there are some minor scratches, very minor and hard to see. There is a star/Flower inside of one of the knobs, and a waffle type design in the bottom of the other knob. The glass is tight to the brass base. Please take a look.

This is for a pair of old antique reclaim wooden ebony hardwood Beehive door knob handles. The knob on the back plate is about 80mm long and 50mm in diameter the back plate is about 58mm in diameter and has four holes as fixing points, the other knob has no backing plate as has the remains of the square fixing bar albeit a bit short, the knobs are in an excellent condition just the bar to sort out, so the condition described as original used and very good.

There is no reserve on this great looking antique lightning rod ball. We are pleased to offer this antique lightning rod ball in the“doorknob” shape. This shape is one of the harder ones to find. It is in the milk glass blue color with swirls similar to slag glass. And is in excellent condition. There is some normal roughness on each end of the ball, but it can easily be covered with caps. There are no chips. Cracks or stains. We think this would be a welcome addition to anyone’s collection. The measurements are 4 ¼” high x 4” across the midline. Outstanding Victorian Mansion Cut Glass Door Bell& Door Knob I have been in the Antiques business for over 40 years and have never come across. Seen,or even heard of something like this. I was at the"Breakers" in Newport(Vanderbuilts Summer Mansion) a few weeks ago and what they had does not compare. This is not something that Grandma would have had on her house. It came from a Victorian Mansion. The Door Bell Switch and Door Knob appear as if it may have been made in France. Door Bell Totally unusual. The Large Doorbell switch consists of a Cut Glass outer Donought mounted to a Brass plate and has a Faceted Cut Glass Knob which activates a switch when pushed inward. It measures 4 inches in diameter. The knob is 1 3/4 inches in diameter. There is no damage at all on any of the cut glass points. Both the Donought and Knob have ... moreground and polished faceted surfaces with a cut design on the back sides which show throught to the front when viewing. The rear of the plate has the original Bell Switch contacts which spring the knob forward when relased. There are 4 beveled screw holes in the backer where screws need to be inserted under the Glass to mount it to a wall. When I got this. It was kind of grungy. The Brass plate where the Donought mounts had a Silver Painted surface to back the glass. The paint was deteriorated so I took it apart. Repainted the backer and the Brass Trim around the inner opening and the Brass trim where the knob mounts. While it was apart I photographed the back of the Donought to show it's cut design and the Plate it mounts on after repaint. After reasembly I find the Knob to be more brilliant than the Donought simply becase the Silver Paint behind the Donought isn't a perfect reflector. Cutting a mirror to put under the glass would make this scream. I left it alone as it was orginally the way you see it. I weighs 1 Lb 11 Oz. The set has a Fleur De Lis pattern. It is all brass, a magnet does not stick. The knob is about 2 1/4 inch in diameter. There is an extra hole on one knob where it attaches to the spindle(my 8th photo) It would be hard to see when installed. The backplate is darkend at the top. The strike plate has a little bending on one end(my 6th photo) It's fairly soft brass so it could be straightend more though I doubt you would notice it when installed. The lock works fine. Old Corbin mortise. Rather shallow 1 1/2" backset. 5 1/4" by 7/8" face. 2 1/8" offset. The knob only functions turning one way. It's not broken or defective as I took it apart and that's the way it was made. Not sure the reason but.
