Look Hinault KG76 Carbon Kevlar Road Bike- Dura Ace- 61 cm - Excellent Condition
This is a a Mid-1980's Look Hinault Carbon/Kevlar road bike in near new condition. It is ready to ride or to add to a collection. Some history: According to information on line. Look built the first carbon frame bikes. Hinault and Lemond were said to have raced this model in the 1985 Tour de France which was the 5th win for Hinault. Lemond won the following year with the next newer model of this bike. Most of the KG76 models(photos from Google search) do not have the"Kevlar" on them. Which could make this bike somewhat rare. This bike is in excellent condition. The tires appear to have very few miles on them; the wheels have no brake marks on them. The only items not in"like new" condition are the decals.the decals on the top tube and the down tube are slightly rough(from hanging/transport) and the bar tape is a little ... moredirty(I will include a new set of blue. White or black bar tape with the bike as well as the original tape) The original owner said that he bought it and hung it in his office. I took the bike to an appraiser who appraises vintage bikes(and other items) and he quoted a minimum value of $1500. Included is a period correct wireless Cateye computer. Continental Trail King mountain bike tire, 26 x 2.4, tubeless, folding, kevlar
This is a German made Continental Trail King 26 x 2.4 tubeless mountain bike tire with a foldable kevlar bead. I rode it tubeless for awhile. Then was switching wheelsets around, so the last month or so of use, I was using tubes. I don't see why it wouldn't do well tubeless again. It has very little wear on it; check out the closeup images of the tire tread. The photos were taken with the tire inflated to about 45 psi with a tube. The wheel in the picture is not included. Here's a review on this tire: Wanna be the trail boss? Maybe the Continental Trail King will make the appointment and you'll be able to exert your rule over all that you look upon. The Trail King UST is a large volume tire that makes even the nastiest root and boulder strewn section of trail feel easy. For the same reason. It's also a great bike-park ... moretire. It uses the Black Chili rubber compound on the tread. With carbon black rubber sidewalls. And because it's a UST tubeless tire. The interior is lined with a thin layer of rubber that prevents air bleed over time. You'll pump less and ride more. It uses Continental's APEX sidewall design. This means that there is a strip of additional material above the bead that helps stiffen the sidewall, increasing tire stability and control in hard turns and across off-camber terrain. This extra sidewall support also means that you can run slightly lower tire pressures without worrying about burping your tires or losing control. For those who use UST tires with tubes, it further reduces the chance of pinch-flatting. The 3-ply casing has a combined 180 tpi and is overlapped twice underneath the tread for added puncture protection. The Black Chili compound tread rubber is a great. Grippy material. The Continental alchemists have milled traditional carbon black rubber down to nano-particles and then built it back into treads. These are still made in Tennesee and their website has a lot of info. This canoe is priced well under half the cost of a new one. The canoe is 16 feet long and weighs about 58 pounds. I found this canoe in a garage. Well stored and only used 4 to 5 times in the 20 years. It has a 1990 serial number. I have used it a number of times and it is a joy to paddle and fish in. Looks great, as the pictures show, a work of art while totally functional. Minor scratches at the bottom, which are minimal and more than offset by the savings over new. This is a 2001 Bell Black Gold- Kevlar Carbon 16'6" tandem canoe with added skid plates for keel protection. This is a 50-lb canoe with a red gel-coat finish. The canoe is 34.5" wide with two web seats and ash/walnut wood trim. It has been lightly used and well cared for. There are light scratches in the outer bottom gel coat from use; the outer hull gel coat has been touched up and repaired after each seasons use with Bell touch-up paint. There is no hull or structural damage to the canoe. Only light scratches on the exterior. This is a fast and beautiful lightweight tandem canoe. It has a 85 inside of circle, which is the date of manufacter. This is a size med. Is also marked DLA 100-83-C-4296 and NSN 8470-01-92-7527. DLA stands for Defence Logistics Agency. NSN stands for National Stock Number, everything we have in military has a NSN number. This helmet has some scuff marks, and chin strap needs a snap, also needs 1 or 2 clips for inside webbing. For sale is a gentex tankers helmet with a shell and liner dated 1988. This helmet has definitely been used and because of its date. Was most likely used in desert storm. The shell has the markings on the front and back C10 and on the top it is marked 1. It is very hard to find these with the microphone still attached and the headset wires uncut. The only flaw on the helmet is that the left ear pad that goes on top of the hard plastic is missing. Overall, the helmet is in great condition and would fit anyones collection.
