Packaging Machine: Scandia Model 627, DVD Overwrap
This Scandia is Serial No 1-6715. It is set to run DVD cases from a hopper feed. It is great for short production runs because there is no infeed stack remaining when you complete the order. Unless you have a DVD assembly machine with a conveyor outfeed. It is great for long runs as well. The hopper feed is simple and convenient. There is no infeed or outfeed belt so it takes up less space. It will run 100 ppm but we kept it around 50 or 60 because it is difficult for the operators to unload at faster speeds. We fed it onto a table; if you have a restacker or conveyor, you may choose to run it much faster. It does an excellent job; folding on three sides. The spine side is clear(no folds) and never contacts a heater. We purchased this machine new in late 2004 and ran it until 2008. It runs good, consistent packages, with little maintenance ... morerequired; it will run for 24 hrs. a day if needed. Change parts to run CD's and other formats can be purchased from Scandia Packaging Machines, but there are none provided. This Scandia Machine will provide years of trouble free service.
