This unit has been lightly used in a professional production workflow in a non-smoking studio. Very well cared for. Never dropped. Comes with one 90 minute ish standard capacity battery. Charger/AC adapter also included. No other cables included. I also have the threaded adapter slip in plastic case for these. Which I will include as well. Nice for mounting to a tripod, etc. I never wore it on a belt, so no belt clip is included. I suggest placing this in a small camera bag or flash case to wear it on your belt. The little plastic clips just make me nervous. I do not see a manual anywhere. But you can download PDF versions online pretty easily. This is a great unit that can capture either DV or HDV footage directly through Firewire. This allows you to have immediate editing access without having to encode tapes into a computer in real time. ... moreDoes not interfere with your other recording methods. This unit seems a little blurry in the center of the display. No scratches or other evidence. Might just be my eyes. This unit also has a 120GB HD instead of the usual 100GB from the factory, so it will run about two hours longer than the standard 100GB units. The sticker on the front indicates the file size breaks, it breaks the files seamlessly into 9 minute and 13 second segments, so if you have a take that is shorter than that, you can easily see how close to your break point you are. It was originally a standard FS-4( which could only capture DV footage) but it was upgraded at the factory with a firmware update that allows it to capture 720p and 1080i HDV footage. For confirmation- look at the second picture which shows it is the ProHD version. It can capture any flavor of DV or HDV footage from your DV or HDV camera to this recorder using a simple firewire cable. The firewire connector on the FS-4 Pro is a 6 pin as shown but if your camera uses the smaller 4 pin firewire connection you can easily get a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire cable. Focus FireStore DTE FS-100 160GB HD Hard Drive for HVX200 or DV Cameras
Up for auction: FireStore FS-100 with 160GB harddrive(SN:164459) I used this to record seminars where long and uninterrupted recording times were necessary. I used an old Sony camera(DSR200) with the standard DV(firewire) output. When finished with the recording job. I connected this unit to my computer via the firewire port and edited from its hard drive in Premiere Pro without having to recapture the data. It worked flawlessly. I quickly burned the DVDs and it was job done. I have since moved to SD cards and I no longer need this unit. It will record more than 11 continuous hours in standard DV mode. Note: The picture shows 438 minutes for Disk 1. Disk 2 holds ~256 minutes. Actually. There is one hard disk in the unit but the firmware divides the hard drive into 100GB partitions. I did not purchase a Panasonic HVX200(as originally planned) ... moreI have not used the DVCPro codec built into the recorder so I do not know the actual record time in that mode. I believe this unit has the latest firmware. It will handle SATA hard drives up to 250GB(if you want to upgrade it later on) I also understand that this unit will work with SSD SATA drives up to 250GB if you have to work in a harsh environment. This is a nice feature. If you install a larger drive than 250GB, I understand it will record just fine, but you cannot erase old files and format the hard drive from the built in menu. You have to erase and format(FAT 32) when connected to a computer. The unit is used. Not new. It has some scratches. The unit comes with the AC power supply and battery. I tested it today with my Sony DV camera and it recorded fine and it properly interfaced with my computer.
