SKIL ROTO HAMMER Percussion Drill MODEL 726 w/ Metal Case & Extras
Description: Up for grabs is a vintage heavy-duty Skil Roto Hammer. M odel#726(Type 6) Complete with it's original metal case, an assortment of large size bits and chisels, extra parts and accessories, and the original user manual. When I say this hammer is heavy-duty, I am not kidding! This thing will blast through concrete and make quick work out of masonry. Skil built these Roto Hammers to last forever and take a beating. Fortunately this one has not taken that much of a beating. The steel casing does not have any cracks, and the electrical cord is free of tape patches or repairs. The only minor flaw is with the user manual. A small bottle of lubricant leaked inside the case and soaked into the manual. The good news is that it sort of"preserved"the manual, meaning that all of the pages are clearly legible, intact and turn ... moreeasily. However, they each have a coat of oil clear oil on them. Wiping them down may help to dry them out, but that's a tedious task I will leave up to the buyer if they chose to do so. I did vacuum out the case and wipe it down with warm-water& Simple Green to remove a lot the oil and"junk" that was inside the case. I also performed a light clean up on the Roto Hammer. The case is far from spotless, at least it will not arrive in disgusting condition. This Roto Hammer kit is another classic example of an industrial power tool that was built to last forever. The bits alone are worth more then half of the price I am asking. Don't miss out on this good deal! Note: I also have the steel handle that screws into either side of this Rotary Hammer. This looks a little rough but it does run. I've never used it since acquiring it so I did plug it in and it runs well but never used on a job by me and I doubt I ever will. I'm not sure what size bits it takes but it looks to be 7/8" There is no secondary handle but there are threaded ports on either side to accept one. A small length of threaded pipe will work. As seen in the last pic. the threaded part in broken on the side. Only bad news if your a lefty. If your right handed it's no problem. This comes with no case or manual. Thanks for looking.
