This Vitamix container is used. It is the 64 oz clear container and rubber top only. You must provide your own plastic cap(not that you really need it) Take a look at the blades in the second picture. Two blades have slight bends in them. But it does not affect the use of this container. The container was used once to grind a dry bean or coffee. There are light scratches on the poly on the inside. If your $1000 vitamix touch and go or blending station advanced does not show any info when turned on this is the part for you. If you have replaced the touch pad with a new one but the machine still does not work correctly when you hit the buttons. This is the part for you. In my experience there are only three items cause these machines to not run correctly. 1. The top bearing fails but you continue to use the machine. You notice this because the socket and the container gear gets chewed up pretty quickly. Continued use eventually damages the motor. You can actually replace the bearing. The bearing cost $20, the motor costs $400. 2. the motor burns up because some liquid got underneath the centering pad and socket and shorts the armature/commutator. This smells like burnt candy. 3. This part I am selling above fails usually because of some ... morecontamination. With repeated blending the seal(silicone) beaks where the touchpad ribbon wires travel through the hard case and contaminates the pins on the board or the board itself or some electrical short occurs and fries the board. 4. Vitamix 3600 Commercial blender, needs part. Very nice otherwise see pictures
This Vitamix 3600 needs repair. The drive nut spins where it attaches to the motor shaft. See 2nd to last picture. Im not sure how this part is supposed to be held together, so I dont know if its missing a washer, or how it is held on. The drive socket on the container is intact and looks in good shape, see last picture. The drive nut fits into it snug. The motor does work in all speeds, forward and reverse, and the motor base, and stainless steel jar are both in good condition. The plastic"action dome" is also in great shape, the latches are tight, and the seal appears to be good. This would be an excellent commercial quality blender for someone that can find the part, or repair it. Please see the 2nd to last picture for the part it needs. This item will ship UPS ground.
