Vintage Dispensing Coin Op Lighted Hot Peanut Vending Machine 5 Cent WORKS !
REVISED DESCRIPTION: I have had this old 5 cent coin op machine for 20 + years. I always intended to fix it and put it into use but never got around to it. The machine is in good shape overall and the glass globe does not have chips or cracks and no big dings on the machine itself. Only little flaw is a chip in white paint on turn knob. Which might be touched up if wished. Some car wax on the chrome and red metal would really make it jump but I leave that to buyer. The machine comes with the key to open the door. When you put a nickel it, it drops into the bottom of the machine and allows you to turn the stile that would dispense peanuts or other goodies. I guessed that this machine sold peanuts or some type of hot nuts because there is a socket for a long bulb and wires that go into it, and a helpful ebayer recently contacted me to let me ... moreknow the machine is a Northwestern 49 model made from 1949- early 1960s that indeed did sell hot nuts. The wires to the heating bulb socket had been clipped before I got it but the four wires can be seen in second to the last photo and the bulb holder in the last photo. It could be rewired but I did not have the knowledge to re-wire it. It looks to me like the wiring would go to a cord that went into the machine. It would not have to be rewired if you were content not to have light up machine and low heat, because the coin and dispensing mechanism works fine as it is. So the wiring would just be an added value extra buyer could do if wanted to. The member who helped me also told me there was a box the coins fell into. The coin box may be missing from this machine, but any box would do since it is not visible, or old authentic boxes can also be found if buyer wants complete restoration. The globe itself removes easily with a simple flip of a lever when the machine is opened and the globe and mechanical parts below it are clean and free of gunk and without any build up of salt or sugar. I looked at other Northwestern coin op machines on ebay and most of them did not seem as old

1940'S ATLAS BANTAM BULK VENDING MACHINE - BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED!
This auction is for a very nicely restored 1940's Atlas Bantam 5 cent bulk vending machine in good working condition. It has an original embossed Dietz lantern globe with a n original vendor"coin" style decal on the outside of the globe. Vending operators used the Dietz globes because they were less expensive than buying replacements from Atlas. The machine was totally disassembled. Bead blasted, cleaned and polished to a mirror finish. The original tray was powder coated with a beautiful black/ grey hammertone finish and has felt pads on the bottom so it won't mar any surface. The chute flap, vending knob and mechanism cover have all been in-painted with black enamel just like the original factory finish. This machine is truly beautiful to behold and would look fantastic on a kitchen counter, in a show garage, game room ... moreor office. It is ready to vend peanuts. It is in used condition, the worst feature on it being the base, which could use a new coat of paint. please check out the close-up pictures of the base so you know what you are getting! Put a quarter in and turn the crank to receive a handful of whatever candy you have filled it with. You can fill it with Skittles. M&M's, Mike& Ike's, Hot Tamales, Reese's Pieces, Peanut M&M's, Peanut Butter M&M's, etc. I don't recommend the Pretzel M&M's unless you are really trying to limit your sugar intake because they are just large enough to not give you much of a handful! Also, this machine DOES NOT vend the large gumballs. This auction includes the stand(metal) with two machines(with keys) so you can give your customers two kinds of candy to choose from. ... moreThese machines can also be used at petting zoos to fill with feed for rabbits. Goats, sheep etc. Another option is to put dog or cat food in them for use in veterinary clinics, pet grooming shops, etc. This machine is opened and serviced by unlocking it with a key on the top. The hopper and maroon plastic base easily lifts up and there is a black plastic tray that catches the quarters that you can take out. Dump out the take, and set back in, all in one motion. It can be used at home- kids love them! Keep one in your rec room for frequent use. It is snacks minus the mess of wrappers and hey- you get paid for the candy! Also. It's possible you have a place of business and would like one cheap, to have for your customers convenience. Place it near the exit or anywhere people have to wait. The only problem you have with these once in a while. Is if you put the hopper on without the mechanism lined up, it will dribble a little candy every time someone jiggles the handle. This appears to me to be an antique vending machine part made of oak wood. Beveled glass and metal.Because it mentions dropping a"perfect penny in slot" I thought this might be from an elongated penny rolling machine or a machine that encased a penny, but I'm not sure. Printed on the bottom piece of wood, as you can see in first photo, DELIVERS THE GOODS OR RETURNS THE MONEY" There is also some damaged printing behind the glass. Up for sale is a Scribe Postage Stamp vending machine with keys. Probably from the mid 60's. It is in good clean condition, drop a quarter in it the"Empty When Lit" light comes on and it hums. The inside is clean, and seems to be functional, the inside light bulb is burned out. It has"6c 6c 6c" on the front but it was changed to 8c and they taped over the 6's and put"2- 8c stamps 25c" I will have 2 more to list later. It is heavy, 24 lbs. so shipping will be a little more. Vintage CEBCO Hot Nut vending machine/1930's/does NOT work but complete
Yes. It's exactly what you think it is.A 1930's CEBCO Hot Nut Machine! It's complete but does NOT work when plugged in and it's NOT the bulb, I checked. I did include pics of the damage, please see pics#6&7 for the damage. Picture#6 shows the wiring inside, particularly the switch where the wiring is all original and definitely needs restored, there's some dry rot. And in picture#7 you can see the chip taken out of the glass jar, nothing major though as this is covered by the ledge that holds the jars straight. There's another bit of"damage" I forgot to tell about; The top key(it comes with two keys.One for the top and one for the back) or the one that opens the top to add nuts, is cracked almost in half but when you buy it I'll make a copy before sending it out so you WILL have two nice new keys ... morefor it as well. Also, please look closely at the jars, they're perfect except for the chip! Some of the decals have worn off but the company name/logo is clean and clear on the glass as is all the writing from the factory. This one has the paper cup hopper included, that's a REALLY hard to find item for these nut machines since it's a glass globe and very brittle, many of these were broken during use. Mine is also perfect and when new, it was about $250 to replace JUST THE CUP HOPPER! And I'm starting the bidding at $250! Scoop this bugger up before it's GONE.As I said before, it's a totally complete item too, and needs nothing but restored. Unfortunately I can't get the light to work BUT I'm not about to take it apart either! YOU can do that if you like! I'll be selling it auction style simply because I KNOW there's going to be some fanatics over this item, I sold one on here before and caught all kinds of hell because I only had one to sell!
