LIPPINCOTT Soda Fountain Syrup Dispenser/Container. Ceramic.
Vintage LIPPINCOTT Soda Fountain Syrup Dispenser. This is a very early. Heavy ceramic and/or pottery vessel that would hold the syrup. It would have been at the counter where you sat at the Soda Shoppe, filled with your favorite ice cream topping. This one is missing the pump, which would have fit into the hole on top and extended above the container. They were usually of chrome and some had fancy handles on top that you pushed down on and syrup would dispense out there spouts. Really cool item. I could not locate any Lippincott pumps, so I am not sure they made them. Anyway, the style and shape of the item, and the name lettering really dates this to around the turn of the 19th century. It is 12" tall x 4" wide and 7" front to back at the top. The hole that the pump would go into is 3 1/4" in diameter. Vintage 1950'S Selmix DIET RITE (RC Cola/Royal Crown) Soda Fountain Dispenser
You are bidding on one Diet Rite Cola(a product of the Royal Crown Cola Company) original Soda Fountain manufactured by Selmix of New York. There is some wear and aging on this item including scuffs and scratches. There is also a crack on the plastic lid. The metal parts(bottom and inner) are in good shape. There is a service sticker on this item that says it has last been serviced in November of 1963. The graphics do have some rips and tears. There are also scuffs. Yellowing, aging of the plastic/rubber and yellowing of the inner barrel. All of the pieces are included(see photo-I believe it is everything needed) but it has not been in operation for over 50 years so I can't say that it can be put together and it will work correctly. It needs a good flushing out and probably a few adjustments along the way. The top lid seems like it's ... morea little brittle so it will have to be handled with care. The Selmix logo on the lid and the Selmix manufacturing plate look great. The inner part of the machine is metal and in great shape but the barrel that goes in it is a bit yellowed. The Diet Rite pull release seems like it will work. But again, I am not 100% sure because I have not put liquid in to test. This piece is very heavy. It is 24 lbs because most of the inner and bottom parts are made of metal. This is not a fountain that works with electricity. It is portable and was used very often at drive-in theaters and places that had limited access to electricity back int he day. Diet Rite and all of the RC Cola products have a great history and this is a definite part of it. PLEASE.make sure you look at the photos carefully before bidding because I try to capture all of the good and not so good so you know exactly what you're bidding on. This is an all original as found condition glass soda fountain counter top syrup dispenser for Orange Crush Soda from the 1920-30s.its all clear glass with an Art Deco design and style.its not perfect and has a couple of issues.the glass is clean with no spotting or stains-has wear to decal label on back-missing the label on front and there is a crack in the glass thats on the inside-you cant feel the crack on front or inside.a diamond shaped replacement decal on front would cover most of the crack.the spigot pushbutton needs a little collar to keep it intact.its 12" h x 7" x 7" base and lid comes off and jug would fit into a 5 1/2" top opening.despite the wear it still looks and displays well and is guaranteed old and authentic. Here is a vintage Dr. Pepper syrup dispenser that mounts to the counter top. This is from about the late 1930's to 1940's. This piece is in great condition overall. My question is. It looks so nice, I wonder if it is the original paint or if its been restored? I think it is original, but I'm no professional at antiques. YOU BE THE JUDGE on this one. This is a great looking all original Wards Orange Crush dispenser which was made in 1919. It comes with the original pump with WARDS ORANGE CRUSH inscribed on the white ball on top of the pump. Up for your consideration is this vintage and rare WHITE CROSS Soda Fountain Malt Dispenser. Other than a couple of flea bites on the bottom edge of the globe/reservoir and a small chip in the porcelain on the bottom edge of the base. This dispenser is in excellent condition. No cracks, dents, rust or corrosion. The dispenser stands 27" high and the cast iron base measures 9 1/4" long and 7" wide. The mechanism inside is very clean and is working as it should with no problems. The thick glass globe/reservoir is beautiful with wavy glass and air bubbles throughout. It measures 12" long and is about 7 1/2" at its widest. The lid of the dispenser is marked: WHITE CROSS FOOD COMPANY, DISTRIBUTORS, RACINE,WIS. U.S.A. HOWEL'S ORANGE-ADE FRUIT-ADE SODA FOUNTAIN SYRUP DISPENSER ART DECO BLACK GLASS
Art Deco Howel's Orange-Ade Fruit-Ade Soda Fountain Syrup Dispenser Urn Very high style ziggurat design that reminds me of the Chrysler Building. Made of three pieces. The base and cover are black glass, the urn is stippled clear glass mounted with a chrome spigot. The base and cover are three stepped, the sides and back of the urn step out diagonally. This eye-catching dispenser would have been used at a soda fountain, itself a point-of-sale advertisement. Identified on all four sides of the base with decals. That alternate, Howel's Orange-Ade, Howel's Fruit-Ade. I found it interesting that there is a list of ingredients on the bottom of the Orange-Ade decals. I don't recall seeing that on other dispensers of this period. Also mold marked on the underside of the base in raised lettering, Property of The Julep Co. Chicago, ... morePhiladelphia, Fort Worth. Pat. Applied For. CONDITION: The decals are completely intact save for two tiny edge nips out of one of the Fruit-Ade labels. There are no cracks in any of the three pieces. There is a chip out of one corner of the lid. The spigot works. The chrome finish could benefit from further polishing. The two rubber gaskets that seal the spigot where it enters the urn have dried out and are cracked allowing liquid to seep out under the spigot. New gaskets will solve this problem. The spigot is attached with one nut. The top of the base is not smooth. As made, what appear to be chips are not, though one on the side of the center raised circle may be, it's the only one that feels sharp. Considering that this was used in a commercial setting, and is only held together by gravity, it's amazing it survived at all. DIMENSIONS: Assembled. 13 5/8" tall. The base is 6" square. The lid, 4 3/8" square. A really fabulous Art Deco soda fountain dispenser. Take a good look at the photos. They constitute the remainder of our description. Vintage Selmix Coca Cola Fountain Mix Dispenser.Restore or leave as is. There is some black crud that is on the front and the back behind the Coke plates as seen in the photos. Also the lid was broke in a few places and re-glued. And a piece about 1 1/2" is missing from the back of the lid. The chrome has some pitting as well. The makers tag has come off but it just needs glued back on, it reads The Regent Fountain Dispenser Selmix#SR 8685. Overall a nice dispenser for its age.
