When I purchased this unit a few years ago the former owner did not ... moretake much pride in cleaning the unit. The grease on the outside had pretty much ruined the paint. I stripped the unit down to bare metal and treated and painted the entire unit with heat resistent paint. I purchased all of the factory decals including the ID plate showing year of manufacture and model and serial number. The pictures were taken shortly after restoration. I also replaced the control panel with a brand new panel from the factory for a cost of over $500.00. The unit is in great shape and works great and looks good. And is ready for commercial or home use. I also tried to buy new casters"wheels from CookShack but they do not carry them. So I bought new Casters from an industrial supply company so it can be easily rolled around. The casters just slide into the legs so can be removed very easily if not used. This auction offers a large vintage wooden German smoker/incense burner. Never used for incense. This smoker features one of the three wisemen bearing gifts to the new born King. Unfortunately, the arms have been glued back on and the job was pretty sloppy. However, with a little scraping with a razor blade to remove excess glue, I think this piece can be restored quite easily with an accurate replacement of the arms and a neater job. o) Other than the reglued arms, this piece is in VERY GOOD condition, paint and form are wonderful! Vintage Bee Smoker Bellows ~ Wood Metal Leather ~ Primitive Farm Tool
This is a old Vintage BEE-KEEPERS BEE HIVE SMOKER/FOGGER Stands 9 1/2" tall. 5" across the bellows and 10" wide from edge of bellows to tip of lid spout. The embossed leather( Bellows work great. No holes or splits. Metal bands wrap around the bellows and are tacked to two wood panels. They are connected to the metal fire canister by a galvanized steel bracket. The canister has a hinged cone shaped lid with spout and pull loop handle. The lid fits nice and snug. Inside the canister just above the bottom there is a grate with holes to hold a smoldering fire. So the bellows can blow air at the bottom and push puffs of smoke out the spout. Still has some leftover clinkers and ash chunks under grate that wouldn't shake out. early 1900s bronzed metal Native American Indian Chief incense burner smoker OLD
Here is a neat metal smoker or incense burner in form of a Native American Indian Chief. Cast using intricate detail. Dates early 1900s. Measures 3.5" h, 3.5" d and 3" w. Base metal unknown: it may be copper, bronze or simply have a bronzed finish. No markings. This is meant for cone incense, just light a cone and put the figure on top and watch the smoke curl up from the Chief's pipe and mouth. Neat! Condition is overall very good. Finish appears to be original and unpolished. There is a tiny hole. Noted by an arrow on one photo, in the Chief's lap resulting from a casting flaw. This does not take away from the overall appearance, nor does it"smoke" like the main escape holes do- it's simply too small. This vintage“German smoker” portrays a ruggedly charming rabbit hunter. Bearded and mustached, with his pipe in one hand, and his rifle in the other, a pack on his back, and a bunny rabbit poking out of his pocket. The hunter was handmade of wood, he is colored in earth tones. Mostly greens and browns, and dressed like he belongs in the Black Forest. The top portion of his body can be lifted off his bottom half, so one can place the incense in a little metal cup, for the“smoke” together, the pieces measure about 7 inches tall. VINTAGE STEINBACH RED BARON SMOKER WITH BOX VOLSKUNST WEST GERMANY S824 MUSICAL
This is a vintage STEINBACH RED BARON smoker. Says FOKKER DR 1 on the plane and has a REUGE sticker on the bottom. Has the STEINBACH hang tag. Plane looks like it can sit or be hung and when you wind it the propeller turns and it plays music. Also makes a ticking noise as it plays music and I am not familiar with this piece so I do not know if the ticking noise is normal or not. The plane is about 13 inches long. Appears to be in very good condition but view all pictures to make a determination. If you were to hang it you may want to take off what looks like fishing type line because it does not seem to hang straight with that, I think if you just hung it from the blue cord it would look better. VINTAGE STEINBACH SMOKER THE DOOR TO DOOR SALESMAN ? MUSHROOMS
This is a vintage STEINBACH smoker. The gold foil tag fell off the string but it is there and you could try to reattach if you wanted. I believe there was also a sticker on the bottom at one time but it fell off. You can see the circle where the color is a little different from where the sticker was. I believe this guy is called THE DOOR TO DOOR SALESMAN. I found one almost identical to this in a Steinbach collector book, the only difference is this guy has mushrooms at his feet and the one in the book does not so I am not entirely certain on who he is. He stands about 9.5 inches tall and appears to be in good condition but I do not know what this looked like new. The blue hat has some sort of lines like cracking in the paint or something, thats really the only thing that I see.
