Description Could be yours. a very hard to find vintage Grenache ice cream advertsing store light up clock sign. This is a pretty rare clock but as you can see the condition is not great. It is the Pam style clock but it was made by Canadian neon Co. in Montreal. It is French and it measures 15" by 15" by around 3" deep. It is missing the bubble glass and the flat glass with the words reverse painted on it is cracked into two pieces. The clock does light up but no bulbs are included because they will break in shipping. You will have to put your own low watt bulbs in there. The clock itself does not work. Rare clock but in rough condition. I included lots of pictures so you can see the exact condition. This could be a perfect addition to your advertising. Following is the information I received at that time about this sign: It was manufactured by one of the premier sign makers(Don Bell) in the USA for a nightclub that was going into Downtown Disney that never opened. Please check out the Don Bell website. They make all kinds of signs and are very involved in theme park signs as well as stadium signage etc. It had b een stored in a warehouse for 12 years in Orlando Florida when I purchased it two years ago. It has been in my warehouse(still crated) ever since. So 14 years now in storage. It is still in it's original crate. The crate is roughly 12' 8" WIDE by 8' 1" TALL by 2' DEPTH.that gives you a good idea of the size of the sign as it fills the crate. When it was shipped to me the legs of the crate ... morewere cut off so that it would fit in the truck and they applied some plywood to the outside of the crate to protect it more for shipping(not seen in pics) Has all the manufacturing numbers on it Was purchased at $19.800.00 new, would probably cost $30,000.00 or more now.ask Don Bell Company. It was built for a bar/ dance club that was going to locate in Downtown Disney.not sure what happened. The sign is really beautiful with gorgeous colors and the sun on top(hot) It looks like it has giant purple sequins on it. This particular sign was displayed at the Honda Dealership that used to be on Broadway in Oakland CA. This sign was manufactured by Everbrite Electric Signs Inc in Milwaukee WI. NEON SIGN~"RIDE A LONGBOARD" & "BEWARE OF SHARK"~V.RARE FIND~SURFER LOVERS MUST
Going through the many. Many items that I inherited, that were stored in an air conditioned storage down here in Florida, I found a very rare and unique surfer neon lighted sign. This surfer sign has a neon tube that is 15" at its widest and 6 1/4" at its tallest that is made into the shape of a surfboard that has a shark bite taken out of it. Hanging in the center there is a laminated paper cardboard with the following"Ride a longboard when you need to charge it hard" and at the shark bite end it looks like a longboard that has teeth marks in it and above that it has"Beware of shark! VERY, VERY COOL! This neon looks to be made of glass, not plastic like a lot of the cheap signs are made of, and it sits on a three-tiered black base that measures 5 3/4" at its largest and 3 1/4" tall. With the neon this sign ... moreis 10" tall. This surfer neon is a tabletop but it also has two notches in the bag to hang on a wall~preferably very high up so you can read it. This surfer neon comes with a wall adapter and an ON/OFF switch, and it lights up great. This surfer neon is in excellent used condition but the only fault is that it looks like one of the zip ties is loose which I almost missed when I was listing it.
