1997 MARLBORO CIGARETTE NEON SIGN ADVERTISING LIGHT THREE COLOR PHILIP MORRIS
This classic Marlboro Neon Sign is in very good condition with mild wear consistent with it's age and use. The eye catching neon light glows brightly and vividly beneath the sturdy and well constructed hard plastic housing/case. The on/off pull string is securely attached and works freely and with ease. The front of the plastic case that houses the neon light and transformer is perfectly clear and free of scratches(it's original plastic wrap/plastic cover seal was a little dirty and was removed/peeled off for the eBay listing pictures) The back of this same housing. However, is not completely scratch free. There is some light surface scratching on the lower section that houses the light's transformer. This scratching appears to be where the neon light may have come into contact with a wall where it was possibly hung. There is ... morealso some surface scratching in this lower area that appears to have come from the pull cord metal cap closure, this item was stored laying flat in a cardboard box and it appears that when stored the back of the light may have rested on this pull cord metal cap. Fortunately, none of the above mentioned surface scratching can be seen through the front of the neon sign. It should also be mentioned that there is an interior drip/spill of fluid that has leaked into the housing above the"M" in Marlboro(this dried drip has also worked it's way to the bottom of the housing in the rear, see pictures) It is not a permanent stain and is not highly noticeable. If you can open the case with ease, this drip appears to be easily cleaned. Despite these minor visual infractions, this really is a nice collector piece. This Marlboro Neon Light would be a great display piece hung in a window or on a wall of a game room. Bar, man cave, or garage. It measures approximately 21 1/2" across, 15" top to bottom, and 4 1/2" in depth from front to back(or distance from wall) It weighs about 8 pounds 10 ounces and comes as shown in the pictures, no surprises. Up for sale is a beautiful restored 1950's Pontiac dealership neon clock. This piece was a wreck with spray paint over everywhere. The dealership name couldn't be saved but was Perri Motors. This clock features new modern wiring. New neon transformer and tubing, an on/off power switch to operate this neon lights and lastly a new clock motor. The original movement is all brass and original and was date 1953. There are two neon tubes. A smaller inner tube that highlights the logo and a normal outer ring. This is a very heavy clock as the canisters is made of a heavy metal. There is one chip and two cracks on the side of the clock. Awesome original Harley Davidson sign from a dealership that is no longer in business. The sign is 6 feet tall and 8 feet wide. The owner of the dealership had the orange neon added to the sign. Pictures don't do this sign justice. The Harley colors and neon look incredible at night. I believe the sign was made in 1998 or 1999, the overall condition of the sign is great.
