The waffle plates appear to be UNUSED. It appears that it was used as a grill most of the time and never had a waffle on it. This 1100 Watt baker has Tortise Shell Bakelite legs and handles that are free of any chips or cracks. The outside mirror-like Chrome finish has no dents, dings, or gouges. Heats up fast. the Teflon coating is bit worn but it still works great. Esp if you spray with non-stick spray. May need some additional cleaning before use, but this is pretty clean considering how much gunk builds up on most vintage appliances over the years.
