This is an early piece of Booths with the rim and inner band in full gold/gilt. Booths Real Old Willow was produced for most of the 20th century. Finally coming to an end in 1999. It comes in 3 versions- Gold(the most highly prized by collectors) Gold and Brown and plain Brown. When the factory closed in 1981. Royal Doulton took over production from 1982-1999. DATING FROM C. 1906-1921 CONDITION The platter has some overall crazing and associated staining. Together with a chip on the rim at the right hand side and some minor rubbing to the gilt on the rim. Very nice pair of Booths Silicon China flat soup bowls in their well known Chester pattern. These flat soup bowls are very hard to find as you very well know if you collect this pattern. Each bowl measures 9 inches across and 1.25 inches high at the brim. Excellent condition. There are no cracks. Chips, or stains. There are two(2) very small raised dots on the back edge of each bowl as shown in the last picture. They are tiny actually and cannot be seen from the front. Booths'British scenery' hors doeuvres dishes and tray circa 1920s This set is conplete with the original tray The back stamp indicates approx 1920s production The set comprises seven dishes in blue transfer printed decoration The tray is 42cm in length by 30cm deep Condition Six dishes are perfect The seventh has a chip in the rim which i have illustrated- this is a chiponly with no hairline running from it. So could be restored easily, although it does not really standout much and could be left. The dishes have no staining and the glaze is good The tray has a laquer that has flecked in places. It has not major damage and the shape and structure is good. The varnish laquer flecks are surface only and could be coloured in easily. Hard to find Booths Silicon China large rimmed soup bowl in"The Pompadour" pattern that is only in blue and white, no color. It's in good condition for it's age(1907-1920) It does have several small chips on the bottom of the rim and one that approx: 1/2" x 3/4" that appears to be original as it is glazed. All chips and nicks cannot be seen unless the bowl is turned over. There is also overall crazing, heavy wear to the gold on the rim and some light scratching from use. This is a lovely. Vintage Booths saucer in a beautiful rich-toned'old blue' which I'm told dates it to around the 1930's. The design is called"British Scenery" and shows a little rural cottage with animals in the meadow. The scalloped rim has scrolling vines& grapes. The backstamp dates it between 1921-1945 and reads. British Sce nery Booths. Silicon China, Made in England. It also has the number 3 It measures 14.5cm. across No cracks. Crazing or repairs, minor signs of use. Here for your consideration we have a 10 3/4" Grill Plate by Booths England. This piece is chip and crack free. It is signed on the base with the logo and number 378404. It is also embossed into the plate"Booths" This grill plate has 3 divided sections and small thumb holes for ease of carrying when full of food. The entire piece is crazed with tiny glaze cracks. There are as you can see in pics some discolor to the white in some spots. The paint and trim look slightly worn but only noticeable upon very close inspection. The exact age of this is unknown. This company made these beginning in 1901 and its unknown when they stopped. This is a discontinued pattern. I think this is a work of art personally. Most antique china is. There is a small chip on the tip of the spout and some of the gilding has faded and a very small amount of crazing on the underside of the handle and a few marks on the top of the handle. Truly unusual platter by booths in the real old willow pattern. Could be a tureen base as there is an indentation like a saucer. Fully marked to base. Also with an impressed Booths stamp and impressed numbers which appear to be 3 16. Measures 12.5 inches handle to handle. There is some rubbing to the gilt rim. The gilt trellis work is in good order. There is a small crack to rim. As pictured and hairlines as shown on the base. The hairlines are old and seem stable but can be felt and partly seen on the surface. However. Having had the warts and all description, this still remains a very nice and rarely seen piece.
