Antique Brass Switch/Buzzer Plate-Solid Brass
Offered for sale is an antique brass buzzer/switch plate. Embossed on the back is: Hart Rotary Switch. Made By Hart& Hegeman Company. The dimensions are: 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" Hopefully you can see from the pictures that has a dimple in the center where the switch is mounted. These I believe were used primarily as push button covers like for a front door buzzer. However because it says it is a"rotary switch" leads me to believe that there was an application that used a rotary switch back in the day. Anyway, hopefully someone out there can make use of it. 3/4 HP Submersible Cast Iron Sewage/Sump Pump 2" Discharge W/ Solid State Switch This is a serious pump. Even though this is a sewage pump. I never used it as such. I mostly used it just to pump out the basement. I do know that it will pump pretty much anything you ask it to; Mud. Semi-solids, debris filled dirt floor basement water, etc. I put an extension on the discharge outlet to help keep the hose out of whatever you're pumping. I don't know the exact GPM but it moves a lot of volume in a big hurry. You could use it for it's intended purpose as a sewage pump. Or it would make an excellent heavy-duty sump pump for a basement that takes on a lot of water. I'd say it has seen around 10 to 15 hours use. Cost nearly $500.00 new about four years ago. When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. But odd surfaces can prove difficult sometimes as I lack a pair of calipers. With over a thousand items in my store. Errors do occur, albeit infrequently.
