Really rare find! A 1920's BESCO model H micro-welding torch in very good condition. I have collected tools for a while now and I've never seen one of these. It appears to be for jewelry making. Or something similar. It is certainly intended for precision work. I tested for airflow through both tubes and valves, both worked. It was made by BESCO(Battery Equipment and Supply Company) sometime in the 1920's. It has a patent date of 9-21-20, so it was made sometime after that. But I have not teastd it. It looks like the green cover has been repainted and done very well. Both gauges have some chipping around the rim, but they are not cracked or broken. 3 Old Vintage Brass Cutting Welding Torches Machine Age Industrial Steampunk Art
Here we have a set of three great vintage or antique welding or cutting torches. The first and largest is made by"Dockson. Detroit USA" This cutter is about 18 inches long. The lever seems to work well. There is some dings, scuffs and wear to the torch but as you can see it has a great look and seems like it would work just fine. The second one is smaller but similar shaped and is made by"Air Reduction NY, NY" As you can see from the photos this is in similar condition. This second torch is about 13 1/2 inches long. The third torch is made by"WELDIT" and has a long copper tube perpendicular to the handle. The perpendicular tube is about 15 inches from the handle. The handle with gas fittings is about 10 1/2 inches long. I think this lot would be great as collectables, use in Steampunk or Industrial art, or to ... morebe used for their intended purpose.
