I was able to test this unit with my tanks and every thing seems to work great no leaks no popping when lit. the hose looks like it is about 10 years old so I would plan on replacing it soon although it is not dry or cracking any place. Patented June 14. 1927 Model number N441 Serial number A41 989(was told this was made in 1941. But can not independently verify that.
