Very nice set of four chrome"Lawrence" brand heavy stanchion posts and three velvet ropes with stanchion clips. This set has been gently used and usually indoors. See pictures for details. The heavy bases allow for secure crowd control without knocking the stanchions over. Four posts and three ropes allow you to create a large variety of crowd control options. Each stanchion post is 36" tall with a 10" diameter base and each rope is six feet long with a clip on both rends. This set is available for local pick up by appointment. Up for consideration are three pair(sold by the pair) of Lawrence 318 stanchions with blue and red velvet ropes. The red ropes are 4' in length and the blue are 6' The stanchions stand approximately 34" tall and weigh around 15 pounds each. Vintage Blue Velvet Theatre Theater Hollywood Stanchion Ropes Lot Of 11!
This auction is for an awesome set of 11 theatre stanchion ropes. These are for crowd control of a bygone Hollywood era! Nowadays we need bouncers and way more secure ways to keep people in line! Anyhow. I digress. These are a royal blue velvet material with brass ends and they are very heavy and have a heft of old fashioned quality that ropes of today are missing. The measurements are shown in a simple diagram in the last picture. They are 34" from hook to hook. The"exposed" rope part is 25 1/2" They are between 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" thick. I am starting the auction at $10 each(starting bid of $110) I know they sell for more than double that new and those are chintzy and cheap and.new and new is good for iPads but not for pieces of American theater history like these. I was so excited to find these for resale. They ... morescream quality and. In fact, weigh about two pounds each which is why shipping is listed as 25 pounds. I have it listed as USPS Standard Post but if you have another preference that you think would be more economical. I would be happy to investigate that. Thanks so much for looking.
