Material is old grown from a bull maple. Excellent growth rings, all sapwood, RIFT cut with ultra vivid 3D flame figuring on both the wide face and both side edges. Delicate SIGNED Floral Ribbon vintage pastel medallion quilt +quilted pillowcase

Delicate pastel patterns, excellent appliqué and quilting, plus a distinctive layout planned for just how it would lay on the bed: these would make this sweet circa 1920's summerweight quilt lovely enough. But it actually has a couple more really wonderful extras: it's signed in golden embroidery along an edge and it comes with a sweet little mini pillow sham that perfectly reprises the featured motif and is even beautifully hand-quilted. A rare and lovely set in excellent condition! Size The quilt measures about 76 x 85 inches. The sham is 14 inches square and looks like it was designed to accommodate a pillow about 1 inch thick. Quilting The hand-quilting is lovely. With 5-6 little stitches to the inch on the quilt and 8-9 on the pillow sham. Counting ... moreon the top side of the quilt only. The flowing feathered vines and feathered teardrops are balanced and graceful and the double-outline double hearts at intersections are a sweet touch. The diagonals over the background are 1 1/2 inches apart. The sham is quilted in diagonal square grid, lines spaced a scant 1 1/2 inches apart. Construction The quilt is expertly hand-appliquéd and hand embroidered. Backing. Binding& Batting The backing is the same fine. Tight weave of sheeting as the front. The perfect little 3/8-inch straight-grain binding is invisibly machine-stitched to the front. Rolled and hand-stitched tight on the reverse. The batting is super thin and completely even. Condition The set's condition is excellent: strong. Sturdy, crisp and clean. It has a 1-inch segment of popped binding on the pillow sham. Oktava ML 52-02 Ribbon Microphone
Up for sale is an Oktava ML 52-02(dual fillment) ribbon mic in very good condition. It works great for electric guitar amps(fatter and warmer than the ubiquitous Shure SM-57) Drums(toms or room mic) brass, strings. I've also used it on acoustic guitar– it gives a cool vibey vintage sound distinctly different from condenser mics commonly used for this application. Like dynamic mics, ribbon mics need a lot more gain than phantom-powered condenser mics, so a good preamp is paramount if you want to get the most out of this mic. It takes EQ well without sounding harsh. For the money you can't beat this one. Coles, Royer or AEA mics, while obviously great, fetch 3-4 times the price. It will be packed securely. Who has worked as a seamstress in London from the age of 10 years old! so the pieces I have are from about 1886 onwards. Nonw of the lace[this piece or any I will be offering] has a musty smell, but it does need washing to remove yellowing from age. I used many of the pieces I had in dressing antique dolls that I had either collected or reproduced myself. Unfortunately my hands and eyes don't enjoy doing such fine work anymore. RMS Queen Mary August 24, 1936 Blue Ribbon crossing ephemera collection
This ephemera collection of the R. M.S. Queen Mary of the Cunard White Star Line was part of my grandfather's travel scrapbook. Most of the items being sold here were printed in England. This is a large collection of memorabilia and not all could be shown with only 12 photos. My Grandfather notated many of the pieces to show people he met and his own berth or table seatings. There are 2 newspaper clippings included which describe records set by the Queen Mary on the trip west ending August 24. 1936, on which she won the Atlantic blue ribbon from the French ship Normandie. All of this material is from that trip. Included are 2 third class cabin plans, 2 third class passenger lists, 2 landing arrangements, 7 postcards of RMS Queen Mary, embarkation arrangements, first,tourist and 3rd class luncheon menus from August 22, 2 pieces of stationery, ... morebreakfast menu for August 23, Dinner menu for August 22, 2 guides to tourist accommodations, 2 August 19, 1936 lists of tourist class passengers, brochure pictures of tourist class dining room, bar, swimming pool, stateroom, nightclub, Austin Reed haberdashery shop, smoke room, a race card and13 vintage black and white photos of the exterior of the ship in dock taken by my grandfather, a professional photographer. Since all of these items came from one scrapbook of this historic crossing of the Atlantic by R.M.S. Queen Mary, I wanted to sell them all together. The pinback measures 1.75 inches wide and is in excellent condition. The ribbon is in very good undamaged condition as well. The little fancy leather holster is in excellent condition also.
