This is a great display item for the wall with it being solid copper the patina is great and the subject being Western Auto Long Run Motor Oil fits in perfect with gas and oil signs. Even better is the fact that you don't find these but once in a great while. The manufacturer of this stencil is stamped on the handle and says it was made by Chipron Stamp Co. of Los Angeles. CA. This company sold out in 1942. Based on Western Auto Long Run Oil I found on old rocker cans and the date this stamp company went out of business, I would say the stencil is from the 1920s through the 1930s. The size is 21" in diameter with a 3" tab that extends out. It weighs almost 1 1/2 lbs. Please see all photos.
