Take a good look! This is really a great looking vintage pennant. It is a n ice looking old ANNU AL ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES OUTING P ENNANT. This pennant is from the 1910s. I rec en tly purchased this in a group of pennants that all have the same look. Feel, and style and one was dated from 1913. I am confident they are all from this same era. I found several re lated articles on the internet as to what this might possibly come from. The elect ric industry had just begun in the late 1800s so there was a n electrical"boom" going on in th is time per iod. Several now"union" type industries had"ele ctrical industry outings" many I found were based out of Chi cago. Also. The Gener al Electric Co. in Sch enectady. New York. Had its f irst annual outing in 1915 at Lake George. This blue a nd white pennant is the GE colors- ... morenot sure how far back GE has used b lue and white. But it may possibly be related. In any case this is a great. Truly vintage, early Electrical Industries related item. It is in overall pretty good co ndition there is some blue faded on the w hite spin(far top left) there is a tack tear about 1.5" from the tip. Rest of pennant is nice. See pics. It is about 29" long(ex cluding tassels) Remote control in pic is 8" Age is est. to be from the mid 1910s. A very nice collectible piece for you to displ ay in your home or office. These are 2 GE 500 microampere movement meters in plastic cases which mount in 1.75 x 5.75 inch rectangular panel hole- for vertical mounting. The scale length is about 4.5" with 0-50 marking and the coil resistance is about 122-125 ohms[you need to add appropriate resistors for voltage or current measurement- about 60 millivolts full scale. Bezel is 6" tall over all. D'arsonval meter movement is in good shape. GE 113 EMEM1 LPT model noted on back tag. They open up easily with four screws in back and 2 on the cover over the needle- you can install your own made up scale or paint the pointer orange or whatever. 1 has adjustment screw missing but can be adjusted[zeroed] and the other has chip off upper left corner bezel which does not impede reading the meter scale. There appear to be minor external case stress fractures where ... morethe clips slide onto the cases- I'm not sure just how these clips work- there's an adjustment screw and spring and slots in the exterior case for the clip to fit into. I see the possible fractures looking into the interior of the cases- hard to see- they don't affect the meter movements. The scratches on the sliver paint look like cracks but the cases are NOT cracked[Other than possibly noted where the clips fit] I have shorting wires on the meter terminals to damp the movement while handling or shipping. These came from some commercial power plant monitoring equipment many years ago- the Arapahoe 1 Megawatt and 3 Megawatt power plants which are labeled on the meter faces- they look impressive for this type of meter. Lot of 2- GE 3 pole 240VAC Circuit Breakers. One reads"35" on the trip bar, and one reads"40" on the trip bar so I am assuming that they are 35 and 40 amp breakers. I took these out of an old Carrier condenser unit that we replaced with a new condenser. It was a very large condenser, cooling unit on a roof. I was told the reason we were replacing the unit was because the coils had developed a leak and it was more economical for the facility to replace the old unit than to repair the leaks. So to my knowledge everything else(electrical hardware) was in good working order when they disconnected the unit. I have no way to test the items. So it is being sold As Is.
