For sale is a Vintage Real Japanese Lacquer Ware Jubako Bento Tiered Food Storage or Jewelry Boxes. These were sold to tourist and military probably in the late 1950's. They are marked on the base with a gold painted"Japan" They are hand painted with scenes of mountains and traditional villages in gold and silver colors. It stands about 8.5" tall to the metal finial and is 5.75" in outside diameter. The compartments are 4.5" in diameter inside and 1.75" deep. The boxes are in good used condition with some wear to the lacquer mainly on the edges. No cracks.
