Antique Bakelite radio Knob. 4 inches diameter. Scale reads 0 to 100 over 180 degrees rotation. This attaches to a 1/4 inch shaft with what we now call a collet type mechanism. I don't know what they called in back when this was made(1920S? but today collet mechanisms are used in the highest quality knobs. Apparently it has been around much longer than I supposed. The brass nut causes the collet to grip the knob perfectly with no offset. The condition is best judged by the pictures. Seems very good to me with only a few minor scratches. Mainly on the top. On the back is a trademark. Which looks like two a double letter K, with the first one reversed. I don't know enough about the manufacturer to identify it. But some of you collectors no doubt will know. This came from the estate of an engineer/inventor who kept a lot of old neat ... morestuff. No Reserve auction. Antique Angel Wax & Spun Cotton w Blonde Hair & Spun Glass Wings 4 1/4 Inches
OK this is old. Pink in color the body are made of a composition type material(it might be a spun cotton type material that is soaked in paint/ wax) Now it has some wear it has fluffy stuff stuck to the paint/wax it looks like cotton batting possible from a scene it was in at one time and the arms have what looks like varnish or old glue possibly form the wings dripped on the arms one has a paler pink colored area to the rest. Red netting skirt with pale pink ribbon trims there is a hook in the back with a thin old wire still attached face paint is worn but hair is very nice about 4 1/4 inches long sold as is it has age wear but is whole and sweet.
