The original AC Adapter is MISSING. The unit was tested with universal 12V AC Adapter. Plays and records tapes fine, the sound is clear. During test, this tape player was a little picky depending on the kind of tapes used, most tapes played back and recorded perfectly, some had a little squeaking(old music tapes used during the test) Tested with 10 different music tapes and 8 out of 10 tapes played perfectly. Not sure if that's related to the fact that universal AC Adapter is used for testing instead of the original or this unit prefers certain kind of tapes. The internal speaker works fine and loud.
