For sale to today is my“little” amp of legend: the Crown DC300A. These were made in the early 70s and still gets the nod for their impeccable service record and an abundance of clean power. It is old school for sure. Not too big but darn heavy at 45 pounds, most of that is the copper and iron in the transformer! They just don’t do it this way anymore. It is the best solution for big power but too expensive for modern manufacturing to consider. You have to find something like this work horse to get the serious umph. The effortless ease of no-holds-barred taping-into-the-wall-socket kind of power. This unit does not need resuscitation. It is operating just fine after all this time because it has had an easy life. Home owner, no night club/stage experience for this unit. It is plug-and-play even after 40 years! I wouldn’t even recommend taking ... moreit to a Crown tech, it doesn’t need it. However. Vintage Carvin Pro Bass II PB900 Amplifier, V210T Cab., Hardigg Case. WILL SHIP
My full head of dark hair is long gone. And so is the spandex! Up for auction is my vintage Carvin Pro Bass II PB900 rack mountable amplifier with FS36 foot pedal paired with a Carvin V210T Cabinet. Also included is a military grade waterproof Hardigg Case. The amp is from the late 80's. And I gigged with it until 1993. At that time I was pushing a Hartke 410/JBL-15 stack with the PB900 head. Having 900 watts of power gave me plenty of headroom for a clean, big sound without really pushing it. It's built like a tank and the head alone weighs in at 48lbs! Marks on speaker board are not mold This amp has a ground hum. No output. No original power cord I found one capacitor has one end broken and the other end lose from the circuit board(see last picture) Someone at some point changed the toggle power switch I do have a link for the schematic I plugged directly into the speakers. They sound fine Gibson Tolex covering is very good shape. VINTAGE amplifier! Worldwide Shipping! As you can see in the pics. This is actually a"Fenler" Deluxe Reverb! No, it is not a typo. This is a Japanese made"serviceman's special" amplifier, manufactured for American soldiers serving in Viet Nam. These are RIDICULOUSLY rare, as most did not make it back to the states. The cosmetics are actually based on the solid state fender amps of the late sixties and early seventies. Not solid state though, this an honest to goodness tube amp. Unlike a proper deluxe, this one has 2 6l6 tubes in the power section, rather than 6v6-s. Thus, it is really more of a Super Reverb type circuit. The reverb is deep and rich, with huge, HUGE, vintage, beefy iron vibe. I really can't over-stress how great the reverb is. It is really a different sound altogether from the stock fender style ... moretone, and uses it's own proprietary reverb tank; nothing quite like it. The vibrato is similarly lush and rad, definitely with it's own vibe. Things start to get really interesting at about 1/2 volume and keep getting better the more you turn it up, until you are in full-on roar. Hello. On offer a clean and working Adcom GFA-545 2-channel power amplifier, S/N AD10022-713, 120VAC 50/60Hz. I have used this unit for the last few years, powered-up 24/7(except for breaks when I fired up the GFA-5200, listed in a separate ad) and used with absolutely no issues with a number of different speakers. Fully functioning, the red power LED illuminates, and I'll assume the distortion and thermal-overload indicator lamps also work though I never had cause to trip them. Front, back and sides are blemish-free, the top panel has a few light wear marks in the corners- none scratch the paint. Ships next business day anywhere in the world!
