The motor is 90 VDC and can easily be speed controlled using a Dayton DC Speed Controller. The assembly is flange mountable to a reactor with a 2" ANSI Pipe Flange fitting. The assembly is 316L Stainless from the motor down. It utilizes a packed gland as a seal for use on a pressurized reactor. This unit was used in the food processing industry and the gland was recently packed with food grade grease and Teflon packing material. The shaft is 1” OD 316L Stainless and 48” long. Whats Included: Motor and gear box– The motor is 90 VDC Boston Gear washdown motor. It is 0.25 HP and there is a very slow oil leak from the motor and gearbox when the unit is run for several hours. This is a used 50:1 reduction drive that originally had two output shafts and now has only one. It must have been used as part of a mastic mixing process. Because it was covered with it. It's been cleaned up to show its classic Chrysler Building-like profile. It functions smoothly and there is no bearing noise. I opened it up to check the gears for wear and found none visible. The internal gears appear to be bronze. The input shaft is 9/16" and is keyed. The output shaft is 5/8" and is also keyed. The size of the base plate is 7" x 4.5" and the device is approximately 7" high. Weight is 20 lbs.

Proportioneer's Speed Reducer 50:1 SHAFT DIAMETER 1/2"
This is an older Proportioneer's Inc. speed reducer. It's a little dusty but in great shape. I opened it up to inspect the internals and they are clean with no visible wear. I ended up replacing the top gasket after this inspection. I also added the brass fill cap. Nice little vintage unit. I will drain the lubricating fluid before shipping and you will need to refill it. Note that the input and output shafts are solid and there is a single horizontal input and output. Ratio is 50:1. So for every 50 revolutions on the input shaft there is just ONE revolution of the output shaft. Also note that there are six entry ports, all similar in size. Don't know why.
