Features two lead wries, a ground and a side 4-terminal connector labeled C H M L and for colors white, black, blue and red, respectively. Their is no previous known history available on this motor. This was in an A.O. Smith product box(not the original box) labeled for a very similar replacement specifications model of ... morebeing a much lower voltage of 115volt 8.9 amps. We are inclined to believe that this possibly was a factory installed motor but hardly actually used, if at all, and that it was quickly replaced with the actual motor that is labeled on the box shown as they may not of had any 208-230 voltage readily accessible? This is only an assumption as we can not say this for sure, but this would seem to be something very probable and is commonly done for many costs reasons. This model is actually no longer availible and is very differcult to find. Although there are no known problems nor signs of any potential problems that we are aware of, we do not have the means to test this item fully and being an electrical product, it must be sold as is. At 60hz it turns 1750rpm. at 50hz it turn 1425rpm.This motor is in good working order. has a built in cooling fan. It is very heavy 48 lbs loose. I expect when packaged it will be close to 54lbs.
