There is a slight warpage in the center metal surround near the lock; see pics. The printing on the top is faded from handling/age. But still easy to read. NOTE: It is more faded than it appears in the photos- the flash or lighting seems to have intensified the white of the printing. Mfg'd By P.N. Co. Fulton. ILL U.S.A. is etched into the front of the lid. There are some rusty areas; the bottom is heavily scratched with some dried rust. There is also a patch of white residue on the lid that may be removable with a cleaner such as Goo-Gone, but I didn't want to attempt it. Be sure to look at the pics. Inside. The surface is in great shape with very little wear, and few rusty spots. Not sure but the black surfaces may be baked enamel? 10 1/2 x 7 1 4 1/4 inches early electric motor dynamo made by carlisle and finch. the name plate does not say the maker like the other ones it is just a copper plate but it is exactly like thge other ones I have model 27 10 volt speed 1200 in good condition with no damage.it did not have brushes so I took some from another one and it runs great.you will have topn get brushes.I think these are used for hit and miss engines.But could be used for any gasoline motor car tractor ect.please check my other auctions for other early items I dug out of this place. The auto sparker the last patent date is 1903 Motsinger device mfg co middletown indiana no damage and complete I have no meansd of testing it I know nothing about it volt amout ect it spins.it is really dirty and the grewase fittings should be repacked before use as they are dry.still retains some of the original pinstriping.I thing These were used on hit and miss engines but could of been used on any motor with a gas engine cars tractors ect.10 1/2 inches long x 11 ionches wide x 6 1/4 inches tall.please check my other auctions for other early motors magnetos and such I dug out. KNAPP ANTIQUE VINTAGE DYNAMO ELECTRIC FAN MOTOR
Here's a really nice Knapp fan motor. It was tested on a 6 volt lantern battery and runs great. These were made around 1910 for garment workers to increase production of the workers before air conditioning and are pretty scarce. If you collect the old electric motors and fans or only the unusual one then here's a great one for your collection. The motor is 5&1/2" high; the feet are 5"apart; The shaft is 4&1/2" and the blade is 5&3/4" I will remove the blade for shipping. 1890 CORNWELL ANTIQUE VINTAGE DYNAMO ELECTRIC MOTOR
Here's a really nice 1890 Cornwell Motor. It was tested on a 6 volt lantern battery and runs great. If you collect the old electric motors or only the pre 1900's then here's a great one for your collection. It only need a TLC cleanup. The cornwell motors were some of the first reliable motors made after Edison invented the Dynamo around 1884 so electrical power could be produced. It is 3&1/2" tall; The shaft is 5&1/2" The body is 4" wide; The wood base is 4&1/2" Also I only ship to the USA so Please do not bid unless you have a USA address it can be shipped to;Thanks.
