This is a very unique looking engine but I have no idea what it is for. I have recently been told that it is a makeshift compressor from the Vietnam era. If you know please clue me in. I do not know if it works because the end of the plug in part of the cord is missing. But I can tell you the motor is not seized because it turns by hand very easily. I tried to take good photos so you guys can see what you need to see. The motor is about 5.5 inches wide and is bolted to a metal base that is about 14 inches long x 9.5 inches wide. Some of the numbers on it are: B.F. Goodrich belt 4L 240. Serial Number on engine is T-39010, and the numbers at the base of the big motor between the bolts looks like 113G902AAP2, And the numbers in the listing title is what's on the metal tag. If you like tinkering with this sort of thing then this is a great ... moreproject or if you are into steampunking, then this could be the item that gets you featured in Steampunk Chronicle. This is a nice working Atlas 6 lathe. I bought it a few years ago for a project but just don't use it now. It runs with a 1/2 HP Montgomery Ward"power kraft" electric motor with forward and reverse.
