Offered is vintage Slingerland 28 x 10 inch marching bass drum in a very unique custom ordered green and silver 2 tone sparkle. Not likely to find another in this unique color combination. I have 2 available if you want to do a monster double kick drum set up! I also have a matching 14 x 14 snare for a further giant sounding set up. The drum has nice Remo Ebony heads on both sides in top shape. All the lugs are in good shape and tune correctly. One small strip of the thin green trim is missing on one of the hoops. Up for auction is a DW cast aluminum collectors series 5" x 14" snare drum with 32 ply rock maple wood hoops and black hardware. The hoops have been modified slightly to accommodate ease and positioning of the strainer. It is a 10 lug configuration in mint condition. This is an AMAZING sounding drum. The shell is seamless and and produces the best of both worlds giving the ring and sensitivity of a metal drum with the woody dry accents from the added hoops. Calf top head intact. Bottom head torn. Snare throwoff rusty and needs to be cleaned up and lubricated, but it works. Original snares worn and in need of replacement. Ludwig Super Classic Snare Drum Vintage 1966 Marine White Pearl
A very cool 5 1/2 x 14 Ludwig Super Classic Snare drum in marine white pearl that is now showing slight vintage fade and probably about normal or below average for the age with nice glossy look. The keystone badge 381852 shows it to be 1966 and white painted interior( no stamp date inside) 8 lug. There are no extra holes and other that normal usage wear this drum appears to be original but I do not have another Classic to compare so you are welcome to ask any questions. Note. The baseball bat throw handle is broken and the snares are original but starting to look in need of replacement. Minor imperfections in the white painted interior from normal aged wood but nothing that keeps this drum from having a very warm and vintage sound. There is very minor pitting in some of the lugs but again very minimal for the age. There are a few rust spots ... moreon the drum hoops but not enough to take away any of the clean vintage look. This is a super nice drum but I would not consider it museum quality as it has been played but has been well kept and a great collectable drum. If you are lucky enough to be the next owner I am sure you will find it better than I have described and hope you enjoy adding it to your collection. As seen in the photos. This is a nice original example of an early 1950's Slingerland"Student" Radio King snare. Details: 7" X 14" 3-ply shell. Mahogany inner and outer plies with maple reinforcing rings. Original lacquer finish with some scuffs after 60 years. No extra holes. Shell is round, modern heads fit. 8 streamline lugs with light pitting but no cracks. These lugs were discontinued after 1954. Brass oval Chicago Slingerland badge. Dating from 1951-1954. Single flanged nickel plated brass hoops. 16 matching tension rods and 16 matching clips. All appear to be factory originals. 3-point snare strainer w/ extension handle in good working order. Ludwig Supraphonic Smooth Bronze Snare Drum 6.5x14 *VERY NICE*
This is a wonderful 6.5x14" Ludwig Supraphonic Bronze snare with smooth shell. Many prefer these over the hammered version because they are more open sounding. Yet can emulate the hammered version with a drier head choice. This is one of the nicest examples of a metal Ludwig snare from this era and before that I have come across(Ludally, Brass, or Bronze) It is ALL original except the heads. The snare wires are even in great shape and come with their original snare string. It has never had the lugs removed or tightened which I often see in older metal shell snares for one reason or another. Everything functions smooth and precisely.even the strainer and internal muffler. The shell is in wonderful shape overall. The only imperfections I see are a slight impression at the muffler(picture 8) a tiny scratch(picture 9) and light hair-like ... morescratches here-and-there.very minor stuff. The shell is in-round. The t-rods have nylon washers placed between the hoop and metal washer to protect it and help with tuning. The drum is very shiny and hard to photograph. No case included. Slingerland MAY 1966 Maroon Sprkle 18" Jazz Bass Drum 4-PC Drum Set
Open to INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS! This NO RESERVE auction. Is for a four-piece vintage Slingerland drumset. The 13" tom is dated" MAY X 1966" on the inside. The sizes are; 14" deep x 18" wide bass drum( serial# 147614) 16" x 16" floor tom( serial# 147619) 9" deep x 13" wide rack tom( serial# 149960) and a 8" deep x 12" wide rack tom( serial# 149958) All four drums have thin three-ply(mahogany/poplar/maple) shells. With solid maple re-inforcing rings. The interiors are all finished in clear maple. The exteriors are factory wrapped in Slingerland" Maroon Sparkle" This sparkly finish is similar to Ludwig's burgundy sparkle. But this Slingerland version has more of a plum coloring to it, and the sparkles are more widely spaced, revealing a midnight black backing. In 1966, this ... morewas a experimental color, and only the back of the 1973 Slingerland catalog shows this as an official Slingerland color. The pearl on all four drums is beautifully preserved. And it hasn't darkened or faded in any way. Unfortunately, the bass drum came to me with several large splits in the pearloid covering. I sent the shell to Jack Lawton, of the Lawton Drum Co. in the fall of 2011, so that he could carry out the repairs to the finish in a more professional manner. The bottom of the shell had some minor delamination of the interior and exterior wooden plies, and as such, required careful attention to properly glue and repair this part of the shell. Careful attention to detail was required to glue the maroon sparkle back into position, and now the open split sections now look more like long, thin seams( see last two pictures) Also, the two bass drum hoops were restored, and missing maroon sparkle inlay strips were located and installed. The total cost of these repairs was expensive( $325.00) but well worth it! Thank you Jack! 1984 Tama Superstar Xtra 13" Cherry Wine Drum!
I got this with a 1984-1985 Tama Superstar set. This is a rare drum that was only made at the end of the Superstar run with a thicker 7 ply birch shell with the badge one panel over from the mount allowing the badge to be seen when set up. Also the interior is finished with high gloss stain and the bearing edges cut after the finish. Obviously Tama was trying to step it up and build an even higher quality drum. Size is 12" deep x13" diameter. Condition is average. Back of the drum has some deep scratches. Looks good set-up. Chrome is pretty nice. Hoops and tension rods are original. Great drum for the money. Buyer pays shipping of $20 in the US. $80 overseas.

It's a black maple shell with chrome hardware and has floor tom legs included so this particular tom is not a mounted tom. The dimensions are 16"x16" so it has a very nice deep tone and projects great. Sounds awesome live or miked up for studio applications especially considering it is over 30 years old!
