$12.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Palatine, United States Description" I would call this the Tiffany of industrial art lamps in that it projects elegance and class yet with an early Classical Edison era ... moreelectrical appeal. The epitome of if Tesla met Tiffany if you will. It stands 18 inches tall and the shade is 13 inches in diameter. As you can see I designed this one very mechanically so that the shade can be moved a couple inches up and down to hide or display the bulbs. And tilt back as to be used as sort of a spotlight in that it can direct the light forward without any beaming. It is indeed very interactive and yet with no useless parts. It has a variety of solid materials starting with the cast iron base to the aluminum shade. It has solid brass and solid metal fittings and cast iron most with it's original black enamel paint. The sockets are early higher end solid brass made by Bryant with porcelain internals. All authentic vintage components were used except for some of the heavy duty electrical cord and the two bulbs. All electrical parts are UL listed quality from back when UL meant integrity and safety. And the main plug is a fused plug with two standard sized Buss Fuses. It can take a heavy load rather safely. I guarantee all my lamps to be free of any defects and to be safe if not safer than any lamps of today's standards. With most of my lamps. As with this one, each individual piece from it will at times wait on a shelf till that one day when the right concept comes to mind. You are not viewing a lamp thrown together to meet the flavor of the month, but rather a marriage of timeless components that speak to be shaped and molded in the way they desire to be. All of my lamp assemblages are hand crafted from vintage reclaimed unique materials. And as often with aged items there will be ware such as dings smudges and patina that add to their allure rather than take from it. I have a great and unusual looking Industrial Wire Whisk. With Good, Industrial-Looking Stainless Steel Screws that attach the base to the attachment. Look at the wires on this one- they are not all rounded. Some are almost square and they give this particular whisk a very unusual look and perfect for the effect of Steampunk! Steampunk Lamp Industrial Wire Whisk MIxer Head Attachment 15H Wisk Light
Some of you know I have an assortment of Industrial Wire Whisks for sale and they are great for making Steampunk Lamps. But one of my srtistic friends suggested I make some lamps myself since I have been a Heavy Equipment and Motorcyle Mechanic for my entire life so I would be the perfect person to build these safely and durably since I understand the Electrical and Engineering sides as well as the Artistic effects of these items. It also has Bolts from the top attaching the whisk to the bulkhead for a great look from the top too. This is one of the Shorter Industrial Wire Whisk Lights I have(measuring 15" high and 9" wide and weighs around 5 lbs. It is unique because it has a rounded wire shape that comes to a point at the bottom and makes a nice display! I have added photos of the hook and the conduit that will come with it if ... moreyou order it that way. The conduit can be made any length up to 20" This comes with a 9" up to 20" long electrical conduit attached to protect the wiring and make the hanging more stable and safer. It is overall 15"H 9"W + the conduit length(the length of the conduit can be changed to make from 9" to 20" length by just telling me what length you need and a hook loop can be added for a small extra cost as well to make hanging extra easy) It is pretty clean. And not missing any wires(wrongs) If you desire. I can add a junction box for an electrician to attach it to the ceiling and professionally install it. Please message me for the small cost to do this. Comes Preassembled and Ready to Go with a length of electrical cord and a plug(a Loop for a hook or a Junction box is a small additional charge) So all you have to do is to Hang it and Plug it in- Literally PLUG and PLAY!
