This auction is for one(1) 1/2" X 26 1/2" stainless steel rod. These were machined to be used in an assembly that was used in a marine environment. The rod has approximately 5" of 1/2"X 13 thread on one end and a notch on the opposite end for a retaining clip. Each rod has about 20" of uncut or unmachined 1/2" stock. Some may have a number stamped on the rod in very small text and some may have that number on a sticker(see pictures) I don't know which stainless steel material this is but since it was part of an assembly that was used in an ocean going floating platform I assume this is possibly 316. However I have no way to confirm. For the most part these are unused although a few may have been assembled then disassembled. Expect some scratches and blemishes from storage. The rod is solid brass. I'm not sure of the grade/type. It seems pretty soft. It's not quite a foot long x 1-1/8" round. It weighs 4 lbs 2 oz. It has a few dings in it. None of them appear to be more than an 1/8" deep. I would think one should be able to end up with 1" of usable stock after it's milled true again. Or right there close, I couldn't imagine it being less than 15/16" Worst case scenario. That's what I know. Thanks for looking.

14 1/4" LONG ROD WITH THREADED END LOT OF 20
Up for auction we have a lot of 20- approximately 14 1/4" long rods. Made from some sort of fer rous metal. A magnet will stick to these rods. One end of these rods are threaded with a 1/4-20 size thread. The other end has a ball shape. Please look at photos. These were found in an old tool box that I picked up at an estate sale so I don't know what they were used for. All of these have a nut. But 4 of the are plastic nuts and also they do have some scratches, dings and again the four with plastic nuts have some tape residue on them.
