You are bidding on a lot of used Penrod yellow zinc(gold colored) hinges. Some of the hinges show typical wear/patina because they are about 10 years old. But all hinges are in good working order. These would be great to update a rental unit or home. All boxes are labeled Hager because I replaced all the yellow Penrod hinges in the house with a different color of Hager hinges and reused the boxes. This maker pioneered the silver plating process we use today back in the 1840s, and its illustrious customers have included Royalty and the White Star Line- the Titanic dining rooms being equipped with its silverware. Elkington used a method of dating their wares and this pot was produced in 1915. The style is rather unusual for what is essentially an example of hotel-type silverware. The lid is equipped with a lever to flip it back with piercings that are indicative of an early Art Deco piece. The handle is also more decorative than you would expect in a later piece. together with the slightly tapered shape of the pot itself.
