A 1909 Rookwood Vellum Art Pottery Vase by Sara Sax. Presumably carved vs. molded and decorated nicely in several colors with a matte glaze finish. As the title implies. There is a condition issue where a large chip has been knocked off and glued back in place. Also, a faint and tight hairline about one inch away from the chip. Otherwise, there are no other chips or any other condition issues. We show all sides of the vase and close-up views of the chip. It measures 5 1/2" in diameter and stands a humble 2 3/8" tall. A very, very, nice shelf piece or a pot worthy of professional repair. A photography note ~ it appears in the photos as heavily crazed ~ that is not the case. It shows as such due the fact that we sharpened the images to emphasize the two condition issues. The glaze has a leather like texture that appears as crazing ... morein the photos. Really pretty dresser scarf or table runner. We are not lace experts. But think it may be Quaker lace. Recently purchased from Estate Sale. Size is 14" x 50" Off white and taupe or gray. The middle has no flaws, but the edge looks like it may be frayed, and when I look closer I just think it needs to be trimmed on one of the sides, the other probably could not be saved, but probably a sewer or craft person could save it. Ice Blue Footed Candy Dish (imperfect but still display-worthy)
For sale is really beautiful ice blue candy dish with lid. Looks great against the light. It is thick glass and has a substantial weight. To top of handle on lid it measures about 8" high and it's about 6 1/4" wide. It's a softly carved scallop motif. It does have a dull sort of thumbprint size chip on one of the scalloped edges of the dish which does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece. The underside of the foot has a white coating on it. There are no maker markings on it. I believe it is vintage or antique. Feel free to email me with any questions or for more pics. These two bowls are in great condition. No chips or cracks and minimal utensil wear showing. The bowls each measure about 9 3/8" across. The bonus dinner plate is shown in the last three pictures. It has a chip at the bottom but is not very visible from the top and is still usable in my opinion. That plate measures about 10 3/4" across. It has some utensil marks. We went to West Virginia ourselves and picked up the order just before the announcement of the plant closing of which didn't happen, but we all thought it would. That was in 2007, and that is when these trees were made for us. We all now know that Fenton DID close a few years later, however, their glass making plant. The tree has been sandblasted to give it a dull finish. Then the branches have been iced with snow looking all around the tree. Because of the sandblasting done, this tree has more orange in it than what you might see if it wasn't sandblasted. These trees are NOT glittered but actually ICED as were the earlier trees Fenton made in the regular ... moreline. We, also, have had our exclusive logo put inside each of the trees. There are about 100 of each color and size and that was it. Now. I have decided to clear some of these trees out the door. Nice working enlarger. This is the one they call the best enlarger ever. Manual autofocus. color head. Wide angle lens for making 16 x 20" prints right on baseboard. the color adjustments are a little off at zero. But still adjust. the top cover is missing a clip so falls off when you tip the enlarger. the lens is not the leitz wide angle but one from beslar. HEAVY NEAVY HEAVY.
