Nice 2008 Martin 000-18GE with K&K Pure Mini-Western pickup. No structural issues or cracks but has several blemishes on the top some of which would not photograph. The major one is near the bottom of the top near the end block which can be seen in the pictures. It is an identation which a luthier may be able to remedy as the finish is all there. The guitar looks great as can be seen in the pictures. But it is NOT mint. The buyer should look at other intruments if they are looking for an unblemished guitar. Martin 000-18 Excellent Condition with Martin Hard Shell Case
Like new Martin 000-18 built in 2009 per Martin Serial No. look up(sn# 1396035) I purchased new from a NY dealer in 2011 for $2100.00. I am a collector/player and played it quite a bit when I first bought it. It is developing a great voice as Martins that are played. Humidified and cared for do. This one is a real"singer" with great volume and definition already. It will only get better with playing and time. Recently I have been playing different styles of music that flat tops are not really used for and thus decided to sell it. This model 000-18 has a much more balanced tone than a dreadnaught, which are much more boomy in the bottom frequencies and not as clean in the mid frequencies, and are the favorite model for finger pickers and blues players. Eric Clapton played a Martin 000-18 on most of his acoustic albums. As all 000-18s ... moreare, it is solid spruce with solid mahogany back and sides. It comes with a Martin Deluxe hard-shell case and has had a recent setup by a local luthier. Breedlove 000-R Deluxe Revival Series Acoustic Guitar
For auction is a used Breedlove 000-R Deluxe Revival Series acoustic guitar with original case. It has a solid Adirondack(red) spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. With 12 frets clear to the body. I purchased this guitar new in 2010. This is an incredibly loud and resonant guitar for its size and it has amazing sustain. It features a Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup, which I recently had professionally installed(it also sounds great! Antique 18th Century Year 1794 Wedding Chest Up for sale in another one of my incredible estate finds.a Wedding Chest from the year of 1794. This lovely piece of antiquity has all its original parts including its heavy key. The trunk is held together with pegs(photo#10) The wood is thick and all the ironwork is unbelievable. It is obvious that the family that owned this chest did their own artwork as shown in photo#1. 2, and#3. On the left front the word"KID" is painted and on the right side is the date"1794. I have seen only one more of these wedding chest similar to this one and it was appraised on Antiques Road Show a few years back for between $10,000 and $15,000.and it wasn't as well taken care of as this one. $100,000 TREASURY BOND OF 1963 PCGS AU58 SERIAL #1 ISSUED 1954
One of the greatest trophy items imaginable. Serial number one hundred grand bond with the Grant portrait. With all of the $100.000 Gold Certificates redeemed, few financial instruments of this denomination or higher are available to collectors. The Taylor Family Collection bearer bond was quickly redeemed by the winning bidder at the Public Bureau of Debt. The serial number one bond is impressive beyond belief. Issued on December 15, 1954 to the First National Bank of Boston, this bond has a storied past. Shortly after Fidel Castro's rise to power in Cuba, he started seizing US held assets on the island. Hundreds of thousands of acres worth of US held land mainly used to produce sugar cane were nationalized as were many US owned business holdings. One of the last US owned interests to be nationalized were the banks, including branches ... moreowned and operated by the First National Bank of Boston, First National Bank of New York City, and Chase Manhattan. The nationalization of US banks on September 17 left very little, if any, US owned interests out of the control of Castro and his forces. Unfortunately for US based companies with assets in Cuba, there was little to be done as the lands and physical properties were permanent. The banks however had large deposits on hand, many of them in the form of Treasury Bonds. Though little could be done. It was very important to keep US assets out of Castro's hands. Some were destroyed, but this bond on deposit in the bank proved to be a challenge. The Bureau of Public Debt was ordered to cancel this bond stored in the Cuban bank vault to prevent any unnecessary loss to the First National Bank of Boston, this was reissued to the institution in absentia. The bond represented here was locked away in the Cuban vaults of the First National Bank of Boston. Though unredeemable. It was repatriated providing a single collector the ability to own a Bureau of Engraving and Printing produced bond despite the fact that all, or virtually all of these have been redeemed and destroyed.
