This is a vintage Rainier brand tent. From the old Puget Sound Tent and Awning Co. of Seattle-they originated in the late 1890s to supply miners for the Alaskan Gold Rush. This is their'Summer Cottage' model with a 9 by 12 foot floor, and Rain Flap over the doorway(it is rolled up in the photos)and this is nearly 7 foot high in the interior-I'm 6'2" and walked around inside easily. The door has a high threshold, and double layer, both zippered, the inner with a screen. This is made of heavy blue canvas with a thick nylon floor. This is pretty easy to set up, and very spacious with two internal poles and rest of the frame outside. It could use some guy ropes and no stakes are included, but there are enough extra poles to set up the rain flap as well as two extra curved pieces. This has some moderate wear from use: there ... moreis a little darkening on the back inside of the canvas with a couple of small holes. As well as a nearby small hole in the floor against the back wall-some rust on portions of the poles-otherwise a few stains, and a little soiling. Roseville Primrose 634-9 Large Blue Jardiniere 9x12 1936
Up for auction is this gorgeous Roseville Jardiniere in the Primrose pattern. Primrose was introduced around 1936. And came in pink. blue and tan. This piece is a beautiful shade of blue that sets off the white flowers and green leaves. It has with some soft overall crazing, one small chip on the point of one handle and one flat glaze chip to the inside. There are some dark lines around the inside chip, but you cannot feel them, and the piece has a clear ring. There is normal age wear and what appears to be some tiny drops of latex paint. And one spot that looks like a surface scratch. The pattern is crisp the glaze is good and has a nice patina to it. It is marked underneath with Roseville 634-9. This is a huge piece measuring nine and a quarter tall, 12 inches across, ten inches across the mouth and seven across the base. Insurance is reflected ... morein the shipping charge. This company is from Massachuset t s and this worsted wool rug was mad e in the USA. The rug is made of th e finest imported wools that were available. It is made in the absolute best weave. The Anglo-Persian. Anglo Persian is th e most dens ely woven ca rpet-and the nicest ever made in A merica. The pattern is the"Bird of Paradi se" Art Deco/Art Nouveau Pattern. This pa ttern is from a set of Chinese screens the Emperor of China gave the Metropolitan Museum of New York in the very early 20th century. Now let's get to the condition of this beautiful rug. And let me say that the photos cannot possibly show the complete beauty of it. It has no animal stains ... moreor any od ors. A little over 1/2 of the fringe is still on-and two sides have a place where the fringe has torn some fro m th e corner. One side has most of the fringe still connected. The other side has a bout 1/3 of the frin ge. And the rest is ba re. There is some sun damage. As this rug has lived in a room with many windows. There is also some insect damage. Most of this is along the e dge where the fringe is gone. The rug ha s also been very nicel y piec ed in two places. I ask that you please take a look at the phot os to see these areas.
