I purchased this 9.6 lb swamp ash bass from Scott Bennett. Musical Director& multi instrumentalist for Brian Wilson. He customized it with a Badass bridge, Jazz Bass pickup and brass nut. For one year, I loaned it to Sam Farrar of Maroon 5, formerly of Phantom Planet who both recorded& toured with this incredible instrument. The tone on this Fullerton. California made bass is absolutely amazing. This bass is not a case queen. It is a players bass with real world road patina& stories. Vintage 1974 Fender Precision Bass Pickup grey bottom part old original 10.23 K
A 1974 Fender Precision Bass P-Bass pickup. One grey bottom and one white coil. Both coils are original and came from the same guitar. Pickup reads 10.23 K Ohms with the coils in series. white coil is stamped 121974(winder 12. Week 19, 1974) Reads 5.13 K. There was a small break in the outside of the coil. an insignificant amount of coil wire was removed, the break found, and the coil wire reattached to the lead. Works fine now. Bobbin is just a tiny bit shrunk, so the pole pieces will not fit into a normal P-bass pickup cover. You will have to file the cover a tiny bit in order to make the cover fit on. Grey bottom coil is 141874? It's mostly smudged. With the 74 on top of each other. Not sure of the exact stamp, but it came from the same guitar as the first coil, so it's a 74 for sure. Reads 5.10 K Ohms. There was a small break ... morein the outside of the coil. an insignificant amount of coil wire was removed, the break found, and the coil wire reattached to the lead. Works fine now. This bobbin is not shrunk at all and fits a normal P-bass pickup cover. coils are reverse wound/reverse polarity as you would expect. Kramer Focus 1000 Left Handed Electric Guitar Baretta Style JB 4 Pickup
Hi everyone, You are looking at a rare Kramer Focus 1000 from yesteryear. 1986 to be exact. It is in awesome shape with full shred ding goodness and awesome vinta ge sound. These guitars were Japanese version of the Baretta with the same body type and neck dimensions but with lower quality electronics. The allen wrench hol der behind the neck is not screwed in but double side tape d just because I was scared to drill a hole in such a beautiful neck. This guitar was adult owned its whole li fe and never gigged. It plays as smooth as butter and has zero issues. There is a new JB 4 zebra pickup installed and the floyd rose is very clean and un-pitted. The neck is straight and the body has a couple of small dings but nothing bad a t all. The case is still in nice shape but has some sticker residue on top of the case as you can see in the pics. ... moreAll of the clamps to shut the case work fine and the handle is good too. Here we go folks. Up for auction is a handmade Charlie Christian style neck pickup by Gatton himself. Pickup was made in 1975 in his shop for my 1974 telecaster. Pickup works fine. Don't know the ohms. Has a nice jazz tone for a tele! Pickup is in good condition. But the pickguard does have a lot of scratches. Routing for the pickup was a little crude but only shows on the bottom. Pickup is super glued to the pickguard so there is no adjusting it. Very powerful though. Pickguard is a 50's style 5 hole bakelite. Own a piece of history with this one. Very hard to part with. But need some funds desperately. 1956 Gibson LG1 Acoustic w/ LR Baggs Element pickup and TKL custom case, GREAT
For sale is a 1956 Gibson LG-1 acoustic guitar that has an LR Baggs Element pickup installed and a TKL case that fits this guitar perfectly. I have owned this guitar for 8 years and it has served me very well. It has a beautiful sound that is full of character. And the LR Baggs pickup really does an amazing job of delivering this sound via the DI. This LG-1 is in really good shape considering its age. It's definitely not a museum piece. It has plenty of small dings and finish checking, but it is in great structural shape. A small crack in the top was repaired about 7 years ago by master luthier Sammy Sanchez. This work has held up perfectly and the crack has not spread. Almost every LG-1 that I have ever seen has this problem. I bought this mandolin new from the Mandolin Store about 6 months ago while waiting to get my Weber repaired. The tone is great. It's the best sounding Eastman I have owned, I think it's because of the satin finish. It is loud, dry and woody. I installed a k&k twin pickup and upgraded the tuners to more expensive Golden Gates. Ths original tuners are included. I also purchsed a better Canadian style case for it.
