Gretsch Synchromatic 1950's f-hole archtop acoustic guitar with floating pickup
Gretsch Synchromatic 1950's f-hole archtop jazz guitar. Paper lable which can be viewed through the f-hole. Claiming this guitar was made in Brooklyn New York. Model number is typed onto lable, and it is 6014-5. Serial number is 105xx. The last 2 digits have been replaced with xx for security reasons. The serial Spruce top with maple back and sides, and neck. I am including a working vintage floating pickup, Claricon brand, that clamps to the strings behind the bridge and the pickup is suspended by a rod. The 2 plastic knobs are missing from the floating pickup assembly, but the 2 potentiometers are still there and work fine. The pickup can be slid back and forth on the rod, changing the tone to more bass as you slide it close to the neck, and more treble as you slide it closer the bridge. The bridge is a custom replacement that works ... moregreat. Acoustically, this guitar sounds incredible, with a big, booming bass sound, and plenty of crisp, clean sounding treble highs. A very well balanced sounding, and big acoustic guitar. Plenty of acoustic volume also. Easy to play with a wide, shallow and very comfortable neck. Super low action. This guitar has lots of scratches and gouges in the finish, many on the face. There are some pieces of binding missing up at the headstock area on the side of the neck and around the edge of the headstock. The headstock veneer is curling up slightly around the edges of the headstock. There is some binding at a couple of spots around the back edge of the body that is crumbling or deteriorating from age. There is a little bit of water damage on the back of the body down by the bottom where the strap button is. This is a small area a few inches long down by the bottom on the back of the guitar where the back is a little warped and coming undone. There is a small hairline crack in the maple on the back of the body by the narrow waist about 2 inches long from the wood drying too much. There is some buckle wear on the back also. 1981 GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD HUMBUCKER PICKUP / TIM SHAW / 7,4 K
1981 Gibson Les Paul Standard humbucker. Stamped 499 581. Lead is 17 cm long. Pickup was dipped in epoxy. Pole pieces are still adjustable. Feet are about 8 mm shorter than on a standard humbucker, reads 7.4 K(may vary on a different ohm meter) HISTORY LESSON: By 1981. Gibson realized that there was a market and consumer demand for these older pickups. They assigned engineer Tim Shaw to research and create a re-issue of the older PAF pickups. Gibson at the time were now releasing Les Pauls that were built to somewhat vintage specifications for the first time(these guitars would later be called pre-historics, as they were the pre-cursor to the Gibson Custom Shop re-issue line, which built to vintage specifications) Tim Shaw researched and tried to recreate the old toolmarks and other details that made these pickups what they were. Unfortunately, ... moreunder the strict Norlin owners, many of his ideas were seen as too expensive and not cost effective. However Shaw was able to re tool the bobbin without the"T" that had been used throughout the past decade and re-introduce the correct square hole back into the bobbin, and more importantly use a thicker magnet which was the correct thickness to magnets used in PAFs. He also discovered that the wire used was enamel. Realizing that they used poly-coated wire, he tried to convince corporate that they needed the enamel coated wire. At the time however the enamel coated wire cost about 1 dollar more, and was not approved to be bought or used. He also found old sheets that explained the number of winds used, and even contacted the original designer Seth Lover and spoke to him about parts used on these pickups. Tim Shaw's efforts, even though not reaching the desired end goal he wanted, were a big leap forward in finding out information about these pickups. This came off a 1975 Gibson L6s. It is very clean and was in the bridge position. It has been in storage since the late 1980's. I have not had it in a guitar since then but it worked fine when I removed it from the instrument. It tested at 5.58 k ohm on my meter.

A pair of lightly used Seymour Duncan P-rails with matching triple-shot pickup rings for a Les_Paul(etc)carved-top-style guitar pickup models: SHPR-1N(neck) SHPR-1B(bridge) ring models: ts-2s for carved top guitars I no longer have a guitar for these and I don't feel like parting out, so I'm selling the pair and rings as a unit. There are slight signs of wear but essentially they are barely used. I calculate a new pair with rings to be around $230, so I'm asking 185$ BIN, essentially throwing in a free pair of triple shots that have hardly been used. Vintage 1965/1966/1967 Fender Stratocaster Pickup old original part 5.88 K NR
A genuine mid-1960's Fender Stratocaster pickup. No date on the bottom of this pickup. But I was told it was a 1966 when I bought it. South polarity magnets. Tops of magnets are lightly beveled as they should be. Rewound with correct 42 gague enamel wire and potted in correct 4:1 parrafin:beeswax. Reads a perfect 5.88 K Ohms. I used some old cloth lead wires for this guy, both being 8 inches. These lead wires are not original to this pickup, but are old wires. If you use this in the neck position, you will need a small extension for the white lead wire. this will work in any position on your vintage stratocaster restoration project. Comes with two original fender mounting screws, but they aren't original to this particular pickup. The cover is in horrible shape- cracked at one end, but it won't be noticeable when this is installed ... morein your guitar. Cover is very yellowed. Bobbin is not shrunken or warped. mounting screwholes are not enlarged or molested, but some idiot drilled two extra holes in the bottom bobbin probably to install it onto a different guitar. the holes are filled in with the potting wax. Vintage 1970's/early 80's Gibson T-Top Humbucker Pickup Pat # 7.45 K old part NR
A Gibson humbucker pickup from the late 1970's or early 1980's. T-top bobbins. Patent number 2.737.842 stamped into the metal baseplate. Chrome pole piece screws. reads 7.45 K Ohms. The bobbin with the adjustable pole piece screws was not working. I can't remember whether I repaired it or rewound it to correct specs. In either case, this bad boy is 100% working again and ready for action. Correct black masking tape around the coil(hard to find! You could use it as it, or add an old chrome cover like it originally had. Removing these covers was a fad many years ago. New, correct lead wire 14 inches. Fender does not sell this pickup as an aftermarket part; it has to be special ordered as part of a finished guitar. The hinges are all good. The 2 drawer slides are good. All 4 door catches are good and made of all metal(this is an oldie) It is about 69 inches tall. 30 inches wide, and 20 inches deep The countertop is porcelain over metal and the rest is painted metal. There are some small ding dents but nothing too serious. There is some paint loss(see photos) I do not see any other damages. Breaks, alterations, or repairs. A genuine 1950's Fender musicmaster or duo-sonic pickup. It has the little circle imprint on the bottom of the pickup that is characteristic of the very early stratocaster pickups. Vintage 1980 G&L L1000 Bass pickup, L-1000, working, complete, parts
This auction is for a used vintage G&L L1000 bass pickup. The pickup came from a working 1980 G&L L1000 bass and sounded strong and tight. I believe this pickup is the same as ones used in the early 80s L2000 bass. The 3 original mounting screws and springs are included in the auction. The lead wires we removed at the pots and are the original length. There is some wear on the top of the plastic housing from the strings and the pole pieces have some minor corrosion(this could probably be cleaned if needed) If you are doing a restoration of an early 1980s. Hi. This is my perfectly working TV Jones Classic Neck pickup with original ring. It came out of my John Rumley hollowbody then I put it in a homemade La Cabronita. I guess I'm really just a single coil guy. It has no issues other than being scuffed up a bit and the screws show some wear from me constantly adjusting. Hi. Up for auction a used humbucking pickup. I have no idea what brand this is. I bought alot of music parts/stock from a collector that had passed away. All of his pickups were high-end gibson, bill lawerence, dimarzio, etc. This has no markings as the back is hard rubber coated. I don't know if he did as he was a tinkerer, or purchased this way. 1963 Hofner Professional Solid Bass guitar. Red w/ Beatles pickup
Hofner bass guitar from 1963. This one has the same pickup as the Beatles style violin bass. And a beautiful maple neck that was not common to Hofners. It sounds great, has a nice thunk, I used it for Paul McCartney style sounds in the studio and its great for that. The body is showing a bit of wear and tear, see pics for that, but the neck is straight as a ruler. The hardware is all original. Its never been touched or tampered with. I suspect that collectors might be more into the parts, if thats the case I can tell you the neck particularly is a good'un. Best of luck. PS. make sure you go through the entire video as there are some gaps inbetween samples; I ain't Hitchcock ya know!

Yamaha RGZ-121P Guitar Fully Loaded Pickup Pickguard Assembly HSH
Starting our Spring cleaning early here in our shop and finding lots of guitar and amp parts. Overstocked items, and various odds-n-ends, so be sure to check our other auctions… this No Reserve auction is for a fully loaded pickup/pickguard assembly from a Yamaha RGZ-121P electric guitar. This assembly has been tested and is in 100% proper working order and in good cosmetic condition with playing scratches on the pickguard. Everything is completely wired and has the body ground that you will need to solder or mount to your body ground or trem claw ground and also has the 2- conductor wire that you will solder it to your output jack. Very well made assembly from Yamaha’s Taiwan plant, probably produced 1988-1992… please do not confuse this with some of the cheaper quality guitars that Yamaha is having made for them in China these days. This ... moremodel is similar in design to the Jackson Solo Series and Ibanez RG series models. As you can see it is a HSH(humbucker, single coil, humbucker) which with the 5-way pickup selector switch gives you a wide variety of coil combinations, very versatile setup. 2000 USA Fender Abigail Ybarra Custom Shop 69 Strat Stratocaster Middle Pickup
This is a genuine Fender Custom Shop'69 bridge pickup. Inspected. Initialed, and dated by Abigail Ybarra from 2000, and in excellent condition. Abby has been working at Fender since the 1950s. And was one of the Custom Shop's best. She hand wired pickups for numerous great guitar players, including Hendrix himself, as well as many of the pickups on Masterbuilt models up until she retired in 2011. All the new CS 69s will no longer have anything to do with Abby. This is a great piece of history. As well as an awsome pickup. The leads are full and is ready to drop in. This is a Vintage USA Kay Archtop Guitar 30's 40's 50's? with a DeArmond pickup and controls. Missing one knob on the controls and the input wire is twisted which needs repair, the pickup will work if you repair the wire it has a 1/4" adapter for guitar cord, the guitar is sound and tight and seems to have had some repairs as can be seen in the pictures, the guitar sounds and plays well, the Dearmond pickup sound is sweet, the neck has a little bow, there's a red, blue, and silver sticker inside the guitar Kay Musical Insturment Co.
