Ford Tractor Rest-O-Ride Seat Assembly
This is a Rest-O-Ride seat from a 1955 Ford tractor. This seat was standard equipment on some models. Optional on others. The adjusting screw in the back is supposed to adjust the ride quality to fit the size of the driver. The adjuster is stuck on this one and will need a little TLC to free it up. There is a date code on the underside of the seat frame that says"3 57" meaning March 1957. The seat pan has a 3" crack in the bottom. Buy it as is. I'll ship anywhere in the USA. This oldie is approximately 19 by 16 inches and weighs around 14 lbs. It has been painted blue at some point and a little rust is starting to seep through the blue paint. This seat is solid with no breaks. Cracks, or welds, that I see. It has a embossed Champion stamping in the middle. Antique Tractor (1946 Styled?) John Deere B with Farmall seat !
The serial number"B188891" makes me guess it is a 1946"Styled" John Deere B. I listed this tractor a few days ago. But had it in an eBay motors category they didn't like. EBay cancelled my 5 tractor auctions and made me recreate my tractor auctions in the"Tractor" category. Here they are again. Sorry for the inconvenience. This tractor is near Harrisville. Pennsylvania 16038 and is available for local pickup only. The winning bidder does NOT have to remove the whole tractor if only interested in some parts) It is positioned in a yard where a flat bed truck with a winch could back up to it to load it. I won't be able to help load it. I think it was last running in the 1970s. I blurred the other equipment sitting nearby in order to focus on the tractor for sale. It's part of an estate. The bar is 17" long. It appears to be very old and is pitted and has some rust. The seat would be roughly 21 inches off the surface when mounted. It has the mounting arm and base as pictured. The bolt on the base is rusted and you'll need to cut that bolt off. The seat was found in an old barn. Lots of cool surface rust as pictured but the seat is still solid. Use it for display or clean her up and put her back on the IMPERIAL she came off of. This is a used John Deere seat with the brackets. Spring, and most of the base. It came off of a early 1970's 7020. The seats do show some cracking, fading, and there is some rust on the back, which is shown in the pictures. It is still a comfortable seat, with the foam intact, and in great shape.
