Vintage 1947 Whizzer Motorbike Magneto/Coil Probably Bad
Buying as is and it is probably bad as I found no continuity between the spark plug wire and the wire coming off of the condenser. Also it looks like a short crack at the very top edge of the black case which goes a short way across the top and a short way down the side. See the last 2 pics. Found in a box of Whizzer parts in the box you see. There was a copy of the title in the box and it said a 1947 with a H76547 engine. I have for auction this tractor magneto. It is a Fairbanks Morse K4B3 model. It is a four cylinder magneto and is a flange mounted mag. It has one threaded hole for mounting and one slotted hole and they are in nice shape. The mag turns over and the impulse works also the black end cap is in good shape with no cracks. I cannot guarantee that it has spark so you are buying it as is. I was told this fits tractors like model Z R or U. Buyer pays shipping and I will calculate actual shipping after auction.

Allis Chalmers MAGNETO, Farmall, and other tractors
Right off my shop shelf is this Magneto piece. In great shape, came off an ALLIS CHALMERS model C tractor but may fit FARMALL or others. This comes without coil but does have the other internals and works good. Good snap. Just as pictured here. I have fixed up a number of AC tractors, models B and C and had this left over. Here is a Robert Bosch ZU1 magneto. This mag does not have spark but when turning it I noticed that it does make an occasional spark where my pen in pointing in the one picture. Here is a Bosch DA2 magneto. It has a hot spark. It has adjustable timing. I believe this is a pretty rare magneto that fits a variety of different old motorcycles. Here is a Sumter AP magneto. This magneto was used on many different old engines. It has a brass body. It has a good hot spark. One of the magnets has a few cracks in it. For some reason it is very common for these magnets to crack. It will not hurt the operation of the mag. Witte 3HP Headless Hit Miss Antique Gas Engine w/Magneto - Barn Find, Complete!
Up for your consideration is a recently rescued 3 horse power Witte Engine Works. Headless, gasoline hit n' miss engine. I have known this engine to in an abandoned, and dilapidated, grain silo in NE Pennsylvania for quite a few years now. On a recent drive through this part of the state I just happened to catch the owner in the process of pulling the old wooded silo down before the wind took it and potentially injured one of his dairy cows. When I stopped to ask what he was planning to do with the old engine inside, he replied"is that what that is? I'm just going to bury it with the silo, it looks pretty worthless to me" Needless to say, I negotiated to buy the engine before this happened and loaded it up and took it that day, in a full suit I might add! Witte engines are not my particular forte; however. I believe this ... moreengine to be complete with the exception of the skid mounted fuel tank and the"screen/muffler" that terminates the exhaust pipe. The engine is loose and turns over well with no noticeable or obscene flywheel wobble or bearing/piston wear. There are no obvious cracks, breaks, or old weld repairs and the cylinder bore looks to be in real good shape. The original, and I believe fairly rare for these engines, magneto is still in place and loose; however, I did not spend any time playing with the unit to test for spark. I assume the mag will need gone through to reliably start and run the engine again. The hand starting crank and old champion spark plug are also included. It probably goes without saying; however. The engine is being sold as-is and is obviously in non-running condition at the current time. Please feel free to reach out and ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. This is a used magneto. It is a gear-driven. Clockwise-turning, magneto that produces a hot spark when turned by hand. The single lead comes out of the top of the cover. The 22 tooth gear measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
