Here is a very nice American Bosch DU4 magneto. It has a very slight amount of wear but nothing that will hurt anything. All of the mounting holes look good and have perfect threads. It produces a very good spark. The impulse doesn't work. I took it slightly apart and think it can be fixed very easily. There's a couple parts that just need a small edge welded back on an filed or ground down. You could also take it off and have a normal mag without an impulse Take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. Serial number 2584855 Only a slight amount of wear. Clockwise Rotation Impulse doesn't work. It can be repaired easily or removed. Mounts with 4 holes 2" x 2" apart on center. Very Hot. What your viewing is hand crank telephone generator. The generator is a western electric 5 Bar magneto that works flawlessly but is missing the proper end crank. The generator also comes with an extra coil witch appears to be all there. However spins very hard and I am not sure if it is in working order or not. It also comes with 3 extra bars and 2 gears that I believe goes with it. I purchased these in a auction along with other phone collectables, but I have no need for them. The good: Pretty much complete EXCEPT for the shelf. Wood is beautiful. All internal components are present as far as I can tell including magneto. The bad: As I said. The shelf is missing. The magneto is not properly mounted and as a result the hand crank is not attached. The cord to the earpiece is broken/cut and the small mouthpiece attachment is lose- needs to be glued or replaced. The beginning of a great restoration or part it out or use parts for your own restoration project. Your phone will be professionally packaged. This issue is from Oct. 1964 and features the appearance of the X-men's arch-villain Magneto as well as a brief appearance by his henchmen. The Evil Mutants. This issue also contains one of the short stories" Tales of Asgard" This comic is in nice shape with some small creases and some tears and flaking in the front and back cover as can be seen in the photos, but is still very readable. All pages are intact with none missing or parts of pages cut out. Spine and stitches are still held together with a small tear across spine near the center.
