John Deere Tractor 430 Tricycle Front for Parts or Rebuild
As far as I can tell this is a 430 John Deere tractor. I'm not sure because the serial number tag is missing. I am sell for parts. For the most part it is complete. Part of seat is missing along with a few other minor parts. Engine is stuck. Transmission and clutch seems to be ok. Both brakes work. One back tire seems to be ok(11.2- 34) but the other one will need a heavy boot or may not be repairable at all. See picture. Back tires hold air along with one of the front ones. Other than this I don't know anything about this tractor. Please look at pictures carefully to determine value for yourself. Adding items from time to time. Please check out my! Here is a#30 rototiller with extension 42" This was removed last night from my JD430 comes complete with everything you see. I installed NEW JD tines $240 last fall and have tilled 3 gardens with them. I have the mounting bracket on the tiller offset to cover the tire width of the 430. 1946 John Deere BO Lindeman Crawler with dozer blade. Runs. Turns and hand-starts good. 200-300 hrs. on rebuilt engine. Runs good. Hard working crawler tractor. Up for auction to the highest or fastest bidder is this great piece of tractor and John Deere history: a rare 1940's John Deere BO Lindeman. And not to mention they're even harder to find with a dozer blade on them. It's located in northern California just over an hour north of Sacramento. This crawler was the beginning of John Deere's now famous bulldozer. Construction and industrial line when in 1945 John Deere bought the Lindeman Company. The only thing that does need attention is the throttle cable, is stays at a half open speed which you can see in the video. The crawler is missing the serial tag. This tractor is a good running tractor that would make a nice restoration project. The tractor starts and runs very well and all the gears are working out fine. There is a gas leak on the on/off valve but when the gas is off the leak stops. The tractor comes with the 3-Point and draw bar pictured but we do not have the top link. As you can see in the pictures. It is missing the nose cone, but we have seen some on eBay for a very reasonable price in the $200-$300 range. The rest of the sheet metal is in good condition. 1987 JOHN DEERE 430 DIESEL LAWN GARDEN TRACTOR - Runs and Drives
Selling off some of my project John Deere tractors that I will not get to any time soon. This is a 1987 John Deere 430. This particular tractor was in storage for a long time and is a little dusty. It has the Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel engine. Rear differential lock and two speed transmission. Also, has the 3 spool hydraulics. The bad: paint is faded. Has chips, scratched, and signs of wear. The seat is dirty and ripped in the corners. It has a small hydraulic oil leak that appears to be coming from one of the lines that was spliced by the precious owner. This also once had a 3pt hitch that was removed, so it will need a rear rock shaft. The hour meter does not appear to be working. The good: Runs and drives great. This attachment is located in southern Indiana zip 47106. This is a factory John Deere manual tilt dumping material collection system. It does need some work/parts to be put back in service. The blower and drive shafts spin smoothly. The hopper is in good shape and opens/closes/tilts easily. I do not have the tractor pto to run the blower. You could mount a small engine to power it. I also don't have the brackets to mount it on the tractor, this could be modified for a three point hitch. The bottom latch that holds the hopper door shut is broke, you could put a latch on each side. I do not have the boot that fits over the end of the deck or hose from the blower to the deck, agri-fab makes some universal parts. The blower speed control lever is frozen as is the lower mounting brackets and the idler pulley on the front. Also you may need ... morea piece of rubber or foam where the input pipe meets the hopper. This attachment weighs around 250lbs, I can deliver it for $0.80 mile one way from zip 47106. Could also be used to convert a model 316, 318, 332, 330, or 332 to a 2-speed locking differential. 300 series axle housings will bolt right up to this. And the only fabrication involved is punching two holes in the fender deck, and drilling a few holes in the frame to attach operating linkage/levers. It was made in 1959 and the serial number is# 330014 with original plate that has never been removed from the tractor. The tractor starts and runs very well for its age. There is no smoke or blow by and no noise in the transmission. The clutch was recently adjusted and goes into all gears just fine. The hydraulics do have a little hick up in them. When raising the arms it will drop a 1/2 inch and then go back up again. That is the main mechanical mention we know of. We also know if restoring it you'd put ... moreon the correct muffler and the ears and the manifold are good. The tractor is missing the lower half of the nose cone. Tractor comes with the top part that is pictured with green paint on it. We know of 430/ 330 used nose cone in real good condition in the Midwest for $450 and we can give the winning bidder the information on that one. Then you could probably sell that top piece separate for around $300. The left side of the battery cover is not with the tractor but they sell for around $25 new. The tractor does come with the three point arms. The top link shown does not go with the tractor as that was off another John Deere there on the farm. And same with the piece between the bottom 3-Point arms. However the original drawbar it with it though was taken off to operate some other equipment. So the original drawbar(not shown) does go with this 330. John Deere 430 with cultivator and fertilizer side dresser. Single front wheel. 3 Point hitch with original top link. This tractor has the JD aux hydraulics with the side shuttle. I cultivated and side dressed 400 lbs of dry nitrogen on corn with this in the last 6 weeks. cultivators have all shovels and shields. Shields are up in photos as last pass thru corn was getting pretty tall. Side dresser drops fertilizer to the right and left of each 36 to 38 inch row and covers it lightly with soil. When you raise the hydraulics. Cultivators raise and fertilizer gear stops turning. The entire mechanism drives off sprockets on the rear axle, through the chain and to the sprockets on the front drive gear. Hoppers will hold 75-100 lbs each. Application rates are adjustable. Paint is fair. Hood tin is decent. Nose tin is bent up. Rims have been repaired ... moreand do not leak. Hour meter and tach work. Showing 1087 hours but we know tach was replaced at 1820 hours, so add that to it. Carb is in need of adjustment. Tractor runs excellent but sometimes it has a sputtering fit and you have to choke it. Has oil leak at touch o matic and maybe a few other oil leaks. You are looking at a used but good condition 855 hood. I read in another eBay ad that it might fit the 430 and 955 diesel. I do not know that for sure so check with someone that would know. There are some scratches up by the steering wheel side. One of the threaded bolts on the bottom is broken off. There are pictures of those. The top of the hood has a rub mark. I believe it can be rubbed out or waxed out. It is not into the hood. It was hard to see with the reflection and harder to try and get a picture. It is in really good condition but I need to point out every little detail so you know what you are getting.
