We have up for auction our Ford 3400 Front Loader Backhoe. I have owned this for 7 or 8 years and have had no big issues. My only reason for selling it is because I have a Freightliner truck that has to have the motor rebuilt! It has a new starter. Solenoid, plugs, a few hydraulic lines, etc. It starts right up and runs great! All hydraulics work fine. The front loader is 2 ft. tall and 5 1/2 ft. wide, and the backhoe is(grave digger) 3 ft. wide. You can put a smaller width on if you wish. I own many rental properties and have used this to dig water lines, sewer lines, power lines, and install telephone poles for power lines, along with digging for a drainage line behind my own home. It's also very handy in the winter to pile snow high! It has a 3 cylinder gas motor, a 3 forward gear each(high and low) trans. along with reverse(high and ... morelow) Now for any problems I'm aware of The vinyl cover on the seat cushion is gone.needs to be replaced or covered(not a big deal) It has one return hydraulic line(on hoe) that needs to be repaired or replaced(not a big deal, I currently have a hose on it returning it to a 5 gal pail so I can add it back to hydraulic system) The muffler is off, but it's not loud what so ever(as you'll see if you watch the video below on youtube) As you can see in the pictures this is not a new machine(1965-1975) it is rusty, scratched, and so on, and as such is being sold as is where is. Anyone that knows these machines knows they run forever and don't depreciate in value. Ford 555A Backhoe No Reserve!
Up for bids is a decent 555A Ford Backhoe. I have owned this machine the past 10 years and have used it very little. It has a three cylinder diesel engine that runs strong. It has a 4 speed transmission that is strong with a left hand reverser. The tires are approximatley 40 percent on the rear and 50 on the front. It has a two stick control for the rear bucket. I put new digging teeth on it a few years ago and they are still in very good shape. It has some minor hydraulic cylinder leakage and the swing pins and bushings need replaced. But still work. I replaced a power steering hose and it stiill has a leak and it has to be filled periodically, but powersteering is strong otherwise The ft bucket is in poor condition but I have another nice one that goes with it. The original paint is still on it. It has been shed kept since I have had it. ... moreIt came from a municipality in northern Louisana. This tractor would be perfect for a small farm or hunting club. KELLEY BACKHOE - 3 point w/ PTO pump - NO RESERVE for Kubota, John Deere, Ford
Up for auction with NO RESERVE( NR) is my Kelley Backhoe for compact tractors. This is a 3 point hitch(category 1) mount backhoe that does not require a separate subframe. The backhoe includes a self contained hydraulic pump that attaches to your PTO. The bucket is about 18" and has digging teeth as you can see in the photos. I purchased the backhoe used about about 4 years ago. And I use it a couple times to plant trees, dig out rocks, etc. The trees are planted and the rocks are dug, so I don't need the backhoe anymore. I have it attached to my Kubota L3000(27 HP) but since it only weighs about 650 points, it will attach to much smaller tractors as well. The backhoe is used and isn't pretty. But it digs well. My Kubota dealership replaced a couple of the hoses when I purchased it and changed the hydraulic fluids, but several ... moreof the hoses are getting old and will need to eventually be replaced. The seat is ripped, but I use it so infrequently that I never replaced it. The paint job is amateur, but it keeps the rust off. The backhoe could use $30 worth of new zerts, cotter pins and hitch pins, from Tractor Supply, but it works fine as is. The backhoe is located in Connecticut. And I can help load it. It is in overall good condition, the hoses are old and weather cracked but they all still appear to be useable, but old hoses can blow at any time, the cylinders appear to be in good condition, No major cracks or repairs on it, besides under the main arm cylinder were it has been reinforced. it has its own control arms, you simply need a tractor with 3pt hitch and enough hydraulic plug in remotes and enough hydraulic pressure to run this backhoe. all shown that I bought at a sale to resell! LOOK at my photos! AS IS WHERE IS! NO REFUNDS! NO EXCHANGES! I have NO idea what tractors it will fit! They sold it as ready to use, but I have NO idea if it is ready to use? I have NEVER used it! Hello. I'm selling my backhoe attachment. I bought this years ago to mount on a ford tractor I had and never got around to it. The man I had bought it from bought it to use for a contractor job he had in a basement that was to low for a full size backhoe. So it was used for a job then sat for years. I no longer remember what tractor it fit or which tractor I had.And the tag for the model of what unit this is has been lost. But the tractor was a bit bigger in size than say a old ford 8n. The hoses are there to plug into your tractors hydraulic system The upper cylinder is bent? I have never used this so it is being sold as is for parts or repair. Back when I bought it I paid $2500.
