Elk hunt
Waste of money!!! The worst experience I have had elk hunting with a guide. First off the communications were terrible. We were told we would hunt a mountain range with Andy who "had 20 years of experience hunting unit 16E". About 2 hours from our arrival we were called and told we would be hunting a different mountain range with a different guide. When we talked to the guide he told use he had not ... more hunting unit 16E in 8 years. I asked him if he knew where any secluded water holes where and he didn't have a clue. In fact he didn't know were any water holes were in the area. He mentioned bear track tank was a good spot. I looked on onx-maps and bear track tank was on the other mountain range 30 miles away. We ended up scouting that day with the guide and providing transportation for him on our utv. Lucky I had onx-maps and had talked to a different guide from deadman springs outfitters who gave me more information about the area in about 30 minutes than our guide did during our 2 days hunting with him. Our guide was a good guy and all but he didn't know anything about the area (trails, water holes, beding areas, travel routes of the elk, ect). Anyone can make calls from a 4 wheeler! I ended up shooting a nice 6x6 later in the week without any help from our guide services from H&A. We were lied to, don't waste your money or time with H&A. Anyone can make calls from a 4 wheeler/truck!
