Perfect for working from home-or to just have for your home. Purchased 5 yrs ago but I just don't use it anymore. Works great. The smaller metal piece doesn't snap into holder. It works fine and will help guide in or out going faxes has to be fixed. Its only on one side. But other than that works great in good condition except for the small metal piece. These are. In theory, the coolest thing if you occasionally need a FAX machine. They are simple, rugged and portable devices that can be used anywhere. From the early 1990s(I think) originally designed to be battery powered, and to be charged from power supplies at home, the office or even your car. However, before we get further, I cannot make them work. They power on. And print/copy just fine. They make faxing noises. But I cannot get them to talk to other FAX machines, making them useless to me. I suspect there's just some tedious configuration issue, so if you are confident in your FAX technical abilities, you can use them. But I am at the end of my ability to be bothered with them. This is a pile of this stuff. The auction includes: 1 FAX machine. Very good condition. NO BATTERY. Clearly was never installed. 1 FAX machine. Working ... morecondition, but cover is a bit looser and it has no cover/labels for the status lights. NO BATTERY. Clearly was never installed. 1 acoustical coupler. Appears new and unused.
