Because of its relatively light use and nearly undisturbed storage life. The unit looks to me still in overall good condition. For the purpose of preparing this listing I turned it on and confirmed that the default display text appears on the LCD screen. However, I cannot guarantee that all parts are actually still in a functional state after so many years. So please use at your own risk. If you intend to use this as a fax, I suggest buying, at the very least, a new ink cartridge as I believe the one still in the unit is long expired. And the unit should get a comprehensive tune-up which may need to include cleaning the print head. Recommended as a weekend restoration project. HP 2140 Professional Quality Plain-Paper Fax and Copier. I got this a couple of years ago and received a 3 in 1 printer shortly after. So it was hardly used(home use, not business) I just tested it and it does need a new ink cartridge. Cosmetically, it's almost as good as new. No original box, but do have the owner's manual. All my sales are PayPal only. FedEx Ground will probably be the least expensive way to ship and I will refund the price difference if it is less than $15.00. If you've got a preference or better idea about how to ship this to save money. I'm flexible. Not trying to make money off shipping.
