We tested the fax function by using a cell phone number(we don't have a land line) and the machine sent the fax and came back saying the other fax was not responding so it looks like its working fine. We tested the copier function and it worked fine with the only issue being that their were light horizontal lines on the paper but they are getting lighter as we make more copies so I believe it is just because it hasn't been used or the toner may be running out. Multiple phone extensions, caller ID, voice-mail, modems, or roll-over lines. Use of a phone line having multiple extensions may cause transmission or reception problems if any of the extensions are picked up during transmission or reception. If problems occur, consider using a dedicated phone line for the fax machine. The fax machine has three line connections. Use the connection labeled Line to connect to the telephone wall jack. The fax machine may have plastic pull tabs protecting the telephone and line connectors on the back of the machine.
