Olympus Borescope rotating with LED light source. Great image. Please note this scope has a light guide inserted that is in my opinion. Too hard to try to remove without damaging the light guide. So for this scope it has it's own dedicated light guide. If you are knowledgeable about how the body of the scope comes apart you would then most certainly be able to grasp the head of the light guide and find out why it is in so tight. As it is, it works just fine, provides a ton of light and as the scope goes it is perfect. These are incredible pieces of engineering. Without changing position and simply rotating the collar on the scope the optics and illumination rotate about 320 degrees. Truly remarkable stuff. This scope would allow you to keep your attachments and setup in one position as the optics and illumination are turned by a collar on the hand-piece. Up for auction is an American made PeriOptix Perilux headband supported LED light source. It is in excellent condition. Having only been used a few dozen times. It has a rechargeable nickel metal hydride battery pack with a belt clip. I tested the unit and the charge held for more than 8 hours continuous use. The light itself weighs less than 3 ounces.
