These miniature K-type thermocouple connectors are used and a little grubby. But they will clean up nicely. They were installed in a piece of industrial equipment and cut right out of the wiring harness. That's good news for you! First they are pre-wired with about one foot of Omega wire. If you need that length or less then half of your work is already done! The second thing is that they were not used in a lab or classroom. They were assembled, tested, plugged in and otherwise have been sitting in this harness not getting worn out and handled. They are in as close to new condition as far as wear and tear with only a couple of exceptions- one has the pins a little bent and one has some abrasion that I don't think will come off. They are a bit dirty, but wash them a bit and mostly they will be like new. They all have all of their screws ... moreand the little rubber grommet. Omega sells these new for $1.95 each, so this the starting bid is about half price. These are light and I will pay shipping to the lower 48. You also get one of the larger size male connectors. I think it is a OSTW-CC-K-M. But do your homework if it is important to you. It was in the harness as well. Why a bunch of miniatures and one regular size? I don't know. But that's what was in the harness. Also I'll include a few extra feet of Omega TC wire that perhaps you can use in your project. It was made by Hoskins Manufacturing Company. Makers of electric furnaces, pyrometers and heating appliances. They were located in Detroit. The numbers on the meter appear to have been modified at one point and some are handwritten. It reads 100 F to 2500 F. It was designed in the early 1900s and is an instrument which uses one or more thermocouples to measure high temperatures. It is also known as a thermocouple pyrometer. Thermocouple Cable This is surplus material from a research laboratory. No original specification or documenation is available. From my inspection. The cable contains four copper conductors; one red, one blue and two white. Each of these conductors contains seven wires of approximately 0.2 mm diameter. What appears to be a thermocouple pair is a conductor with red insulation and a conductor with yellow insulation, both enclosed in a brown sleeve. Each of the conductors contains seven wires of approximately 0.2 mm diameter. According to this is a type K thermocouple but there is no other confirming evidence. All the conductors are enclosed in a copper braid and an outer cover of clear heat shrink. A short length of green wire is soldered to each end of the braid and is visible in the photo. The cable has been used. The only damage is a small ... moredisruption of the outer shielding braid about 8 cm from one end; not visible in the photographs. If any other information is needed.
