Black Limba Guitar Body Project Korina Strat
Up for auction is a very nice black limba body blank that needs a little TLC to make it great. I bought this as a hand made"diamond in the rough" project. The body was never shaped. It has no belly cut. No forearm contour and no routed edges. The lower neck pocket edge was never routed off. It had a poorly mounted figured top on it which I removed with my planer. I also planed 1/16" off the back to clean it up. Not exact to a Strat type body but close. The length is a hair over 18" and the thickness is now 1 3/8" Needs a 3/8" top applied or an 1/8" on back and a 1/4" on top. Your call. After these are applied you will have to route the cavities back out. It also looks as if the lower trem stud hole off a very small amount. If it were me, I would fill it with a hardwood dowel and re-drill it. I hated ... moreto see such a nice piece of black limba go in the dumpster so I decided to clean it up as you see it now. VINTAGE circa 1910-1920 MANDOLINETTO PROJECT DETAILS: OVERVIEW: Here is an old mandolinetto that has seen better days. BUT it does sport a terrific set of Waverly mandolin tuners. So buy it for the tuners or buy it for the mandolinetto… it’s your choice. Good luck bidding! mojo MARKINGS: The back of the headstock is impressed‘SUPERBO/ E.H. COLE’ I am told that this is a Lyon& Healy made instrument. MATERIALS: The body and the neck are mahogany. The mahogany on the body is so nice it‘almost’ looks like plain koa. The fingerboard is dyed ... morepearwood. All of the binding appears to be made of wood also. DIMENSIONS: This one appears a little larger than the typical mandolinetto. It measures 27-14” overall. The lower bout is 9-3/16” The waist is 5-5/8” The upper bout is 6-7/8” It measures 3-3/8” deep at the end. The nut width is 1-1/2” THE TUNERS: These tuners are in terrific condition. The plating is nice and shiny. The buttons are solid as a rock. Even all 6 original screws are intact and in beautiful condition. The only negative thing is that some of the amber colored buttons are stained in a manner similar to when a vinyl guitar strap lays in the case on a guitar. I don’t think that happened. It just looks similar to that. If you need a set for your mandolin, you can’t go wrong with these. The posts measure 15/16” from center-to-center, and 2-13/16” from the first post to the last post. The post diameter is 3/16” or 18 hundredths which is smaller than found on Gibson mandolins. I just measured a Gibson and the spacing is the same but the posts are slightly larger measuring at 7/32” or 21 hundredths. THE BAD STUFF: As you can see. Vintage 80s Tama Imperialstar 13 x 9 Concert Tom Drum Shell Project
Up for grabs is a Vintage 80s Tama Imperialstar 13" x 9" Concert Tom Drum Shell for your next project. It was originally wrapped with the wine red or vintage red wrap. But as you can see the transparent red has split and mostly fallen off leaving a metallic foil attached. It's a concert tom, so it's drilled for lugs on the top only and has no bearing edge on the bottom. It's drilled for 6 Imperialstar style lugs and an Imperialstar mount with no extra holes. Mounting screw spacing for the lugs i s about 1 1/2" center to center and spacing for the mount is about 2 1/16" center to center. The wrap is pretty much destroyed. But the bearing edge is good as is the zola i nterior and it's nice and round. It could make a good project. I've done my best to show everything in the pictures. Used Maestro by Gibson neck. Pulled from a Maestro SG copy. Rosewood Fingerboard. 22 Frets. 24 3/4" Scale. Satin finish. Includes tuners(one tuner is missing the rear cover and they all seem slighted crooked) nut and truss rod cover that reads"By Gibson" Best feature is the Gibson shaped headstock. I don't think it would take to much work to make it look like the real thing. Fret ends are rough and need to be filed. There are some dings here and there and the fretboard needs a good cleaning. The frets are worn but I think there is still life left in them. No other issues that I can see. Neck seems straight and the truss rod seems to work. Frets have some wear. Update: again. Sorry for the change here. The drums are currently disassembled. Initially I tried to use the Jammin Sams high bond tape but it did not hold for me. The wrap is still in great condition, and totally reusable. I was planning on rebuilding these drums(as in the previous photos) but this is the way they are right now. I do not have to time to rebuild them. I gave drum rebuilding a try but unfortunately due to a massive workload in college right now I do not have the time to rebuild these. I am only selling these because I don't have the time or expertise to do the right job. However, this is a GREAT opportunity for you to rebuild this drum set. I recommend doing the J-roller and 3m NF-30 cement method, as my friend told me to do. But as I have said, I don't have the time due to school and I also am moving. Beautiful transparent emerald green guitar body from a 2000 Washburn Maverick BT-2 guitar. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: I can't get the lighting to do this color justice at all! It looks awesome and GREEN.not the ugly black that it looks like in the pictures! Guitar is ready to be wired for a project instrument and comes with both cavity plates on the back. Holes pre-drilled for input jack. Tone and volume knobs, and three way selector switch. Original guitar had a two-humbucker setup. Some minor scuffs from basic road wear in a couple of places but nothing very noticeable. I love the way this guitar looks with the green body. Vintage Husky Model#1A in Original Condition Pump Nozzle Ready for you to Clean and Oil to put on your pump or hang on your wall. You can pump the handle and moves up and down. It isn't frozen up anywhere that I can tell on the nozzle. The blue casing is cracked and hanging off part of it. You will probably half to take it off and I have seen them without. They still look really sharp without the casing or try and find another one to put on. This nozzle also has a swivel attached to the bottom part to go on a hose. All this you should be able to see in the pictures. We did a little bit of dusting off. And washed with some soap and water, but we have not cleaned it up completely. 2001 DeArmond M77T Project Husk Neck Body Solar Bronze
This should make a pretty easy project for someone. This is a 2001 DeArmond M77T- which was based on the Guild Bluesbird. Made in Korea. If you are looking at this then you probably know how well regarded the shortlived late 1990s- early 2000s DeArmond line of guitars is. This guitar is in the somewhat rare Solar Bronze factory finish. These M77T's were chambered with carved maple tops. But are still fairly heavy. Great guitar, but unfortunately some moron decided to do some kind of"relic" hack job on it. The top has a burn/gouge about where your forearm would rest. I had a sticker over this for a while. There is also a burn of the poly finish by the rear strap button, as well as a chip in that same area as well. The top of back of the body got thrashed pretty good. looks like said moron's pet beaver got to it. There is ... morealso a chip on the bass side of the headstock. Cosmetically she obviously needs work- but the guitar actually played really great before I decided to part her out. The neck/fretboard is fantastic and the frets are perfectly level. No buzzing or dead spots at all. Truss rod works fine. You could throw on a tail piece or Bigsby. Wire up some pickups, and you'd be in business with a great playing guitar. Or you could strip and refinish. It's up to you. What you see is what you get. The body/neck also comes with the factory tuning keys. Factory roller bridge, the factory wiring harness, factory switch(broken tip) factory truss rod cover, factory jack plate and factory cavity covers. I'll even throw in a used Levy's padded gig bag.

He had a bunch of old amps and amp parts, including this and a Gemini I and II, and also an old Reverbrocket cab with Jensen Concert speaker and reverb tank; no amp. On a visual inspection, everything appears to be connected as it should and the guts are still in nice condition with minimal rust or oxidation. The most significant oxidation is around the fuse. There is also some minor pitting on the chrome exterior. The chassis measures 23-1/2" in length. This combo has the Tremolo and Echo effects. I love that they also had the Accordion inputs. Of all the 3 Geminis that are being listed, this one is by far the best in it's condition. I tried to take enough pictures so that you can bid with some confidence. Project! USED? Possibly Just Freight Damaged? This looks like NEW aside from the Paint Chips. It's Solid Wood. Not laminated. It weighs in at 4 lbs. I'm pretty sure it's Agathis(asian alder) wood, it's to heavy to be basswood. Take NOTE: This body is cut for a 21 or 22 fret, 25-1/2" Scale Neck. It isn't the shorter scale usually found on this style guitar. ALSO- The pocket is just a hair under 2-1/4" wide at the heel, a little wider than normal. It's cut for a standard Humbucker Pickup. The Rear Cavity Cover is still there and the Original Pickguard is included. The strap buttons are still here too. There is a large Ding/ Paint Chip on the upper edge and side, and a couple of smaller ones lower down along the same edge(see Pic) they don't affect playability. There are also what I'd call a couple of ... moreBLEMS in the wood, on the lower front below the pickguard. Aside from these faults the body is Very Glossy and Unmarked. This would be a good refinish project if you're looking for one, but could easily be touched up(Hint: Custom Color Nail Polish) and put back in playing shape fairly easily. 1977 Fender Musicmaster body. It has been routed for a humbucker at the bridge and drilled for a string through bridge by what appears to have been a blind person. I had planned to make a Kurt Cobain style Jag-Stang but life got in the way. Now the guitar body gets in the way. I need to sell it before my wife gets in the way of me buying another one. There is a lot of mojo on this one in the form of tobacco staining and a natural relic patina. It sounded great. Despite it's obvious shortcomings, when I first got it. M. HOHNER CONTESSA HG-650 VINTAGE WEST GERMANY 1966? PROJECT
Up for sale is a vintage CONTESSA HG-650 by M. Hohner made in West Germany for project or repair. The guitar is in very good condition with only two exceptions. There is a hair-line split on the side(upper bout)which shows well in a pic. This really doesn't affect it at all other than it's there and it can be repaired/shored/sealed fairly easily. The other issue is that the shown tuners. Which came with the guitar, are not original and the spacing is off just a bit so they don't fit right. The good news is that the peg holes were not enlarged(still factory) and no new mounting holes were drilled. So the head stock is still original but without the tuners. I'm including the tuners anyway which would work with minor head stock modifications. The guitar has been thoroughly cleaned including the fretboard; no lingering bodily ... moreresidue, very clean. In addition, the frets have been leveled, dressed, and polished. The neck is really nice, frets are still full and now pristine and there is practically no wear on the fretboard(Rosewood) The truss rod nut, Gibson style, is excellent and still adjusts as it should. I did string it up using the included tuners(they kind of work, enough to string and play) and it plays nice. Of course with a bolt-on neck and adjustable bridge you can dial this one in any way you want. Bridge is excellent, no top hump/bubble, x-bracing is solid. The guitar does setup really nice, everything is right. Top, back, and sides are laminated. The neck looks laminated but it's not; it is solid with very tight grain. Stamped West Germany on the neck plate and ink stamped on the label(hard to see) The arched back is very cool and there's no rash. It does have minor signs of wear throughout but overall it's in very good condition cosmetically. The neck date.5/19 6. Of course that's May 19 but the decade is the mystery.
