You are bidding on a used AMS DS-312SUES two bay RAID enclosure. I used this for archival storage for about two years. It's perfect for that. When you're ready to backup. Turn it on, run your backup, and turn it off when backup completes. It was turned off 95% of the time my computer operated. As you can see it's cosmetically and mechanically perfect. I've had a number of different drives in this enclosure in both RAID 0 and RAID 1 configurations. Very easy to setup, and very easy to switch RAID modes. You will definitely want to backup the files on the unit before switching RAID modes! No software required on your system if you're running Win 7 or later. I think Win XP includes native USB 2.0 drivers. But make sure you check for older operating systems.
